Oxley hotel is very affordable. Ive done search on hotels in SG online and im glad i was able to book this hotel on travel app. We all know SG is expensive.It is affordable compared to other hotel near the area. Again the hotel is cheap. This is what i paid for. If you are complaining that it is not a good hotel then better put more on your hotel budget and go get youself a 5 star hotel. It is after all a very basic hotel that offers a very simple room just good for sleeping and getting a shower. If you want privacy and you dont want to stay in hostels (bunk beds mixed with other guest) i recommend this hotel. I can guarantee that the room is clean especially the beddings. We stayed two nights. One day We requested to just change our beddings, in less one minute waiting, the cleaner immediately came to change it. The person who changed our beddings is friendly and approachable. The aircondition nothing to complain about. The room is small therefore it will cool the room fast. The comfort room is old but no issue with the water supply. It is located in Geylang but the location of the hotel is surprisingly quiet. I requested to put us on a higher level (5th floor). From our window, i can see the singapore flyer and the Marina bay Sands. As i peeked through our window, i also noticed that the bus station is just at the back of the hotel just 1 -2 minutes walking distance. Saves us time from walking 5 - 6 minutes to MRT Kallang station. If you dont wanna use MRT or bus, just hail a cab or use grab going to places in SG. You can ask questions to the front desk to guide you on how to go to certain places. The receptionist is very approachable. The hotel doeant offer breakfast but you dont have to worry. Just go outside and there places you can get food and are 24 hrs.

Nice budget hotel

decent room for what you pay, good location and public transport nearby, around the corner on Geylang Road lots of eateries that are open till late or even 24 hours... frontdesk takes a deposit from creditcard which they will return in 14 working days

no thrills, no frills

Our graduate school class visited Singapore more than a month ago to benchmark in several of its noted educational institutions. We opted to stay in an affordable but decent hotel which we assumed was near the schools we visited. It was easy on the pocket - my classmate and I paid less than 50 SD per night for our room. It had a queen-sized bed, flat screen TV, electric kettle, water heater in the bathroom, and a well-functioning a/c unit. Those were all that we needed, anyway. We also had a good view of the highway and the National Stadium from our window. In fact, the National Stadium was near enough for us to go to and exercise a couple of mornings. The staff (except for one) was cordial and helpful. The locals said that the place was the red-light district but did not feel it at all. The nearest MRT station (Kallang) was a 10-15 minute walk away. Didn't mind walking back to the hotel at all. It was good exercise. Changi Airport was only around 20 minutes away. I only paid 9 SD for the airport shuttle going to Oxley. Geylang Road was only less than a five-minute walk away. That was where you can choose to dine from a good number of restaurants and buy from convenience stores. The hotel provided a fresh supply of three-in-one coffee sachets and bottled mineral water everyday. We were able to sleep well at night. It was a peaceful neighborhood. The only complaint I can think of was that there was a little portion of the tiled floor of the bathroom where water accumulated whenever we showered. Other than that, we think got more than our money's worth during our stay at Oxley.

Customer satisfaction guaranteed for its budget price

The hotel was exactly what I expected, cheap and a place to sleep after each day of visiting the sights. The hotel is located in walking distance of metro stations which allowed us to travel around cheaply, very ideal. The room was small but air con was good although it did get pretty cold quickly but i'd rather that then be boiling hot. The staff were helpful. Thanks to the guy who ordered a mcdonlds for my boyfriend and I on getting there at around 9pm on the first night! for a short stay in Singapore i defiantly recommend the hotel!

Affordable Hotel

All staffs are very accommodating and friendly. The room is basic, the linens and bedsheets smell clean and all white. You know that its clean compared to other basic hotels that I have been. The washroom is old, but the water supply was great. The receptionist always asking us if we want our room to get clean and they also offer glasses of water. We stayed there for 5 nights and one of the day, the aircon needs to be fixed, I wasn't feeling well that they, they allow me to rest in other clean vacant room while they are fixing the air condition system. They helped us by calling a taxi to go to the airport. Overall, nothing to complain, it's cheap and nothing fancy. The location is convenient to restaurants and buses.

Accommodating and friendly staff, bed is clean, basic.

it's quite nice, looks a bit old but it is relatively close to the city centre and the area is great - looots of cheap food just 2 minutes from the hotel and a 24h shop in front of it. air conditioning is fine, staff is nice and helpful. and the hostel is really cheap. it's a good choice on a budget:)

basic and ok

first of all,i booked this hotel because another one near to it was fully occupied this time,price standart was nearly eqal!
was for sure not the hilton but for this price i think you get what you can expect,room was old but clean,aircon working well,comfortable bed and hot water in the bathroom,everything what i need!
surprisingly quiet!
staff was helpful and friendly,room service every day,fresh towels included!

nothing to complain about

Honestly, This hotel is strict with the check-in/out timings and receptionist are all grumpy face. But with the rooms standards it is fine for short stay only. Good enough to have a proper sleep and good bath. But the view from the window is amazing ..

Privacy and good location

Not good place to stay with a baby. The bathroom is too small. The room itself is small. The furnitures are old. The staff is helpful though. The place is near bus stops but if you opt to ride a train, you have to walk 15 to 20 mins. No fridge, so you can't store food. 

Budget Friendly

In short the hotel offered about what you would expect from a 2 star hotel. The staff were decently friendly. But the rooms were not cleaned well and the rooms are very tiny. The beds are very hard and difficult to sleep on. However the AC worked very well and I had a view of a football pitch.
