I can only verify previous claims. Juraj is a lovely host though he night give a shriveled first impression. He tried anything within his powers to fulfill your necessities. It's cheap and everything necessary was present. I arrived quite late and while the neighborhood was dark and dodgy, I didn't encounter any bad people. I too had a hard time finding this place. I only stayed one night and there was only one traveler so I can't really judge on the atmosphere. What bothered me the most was the "old men" stench around the house.

Genuine, but...

First of all, location is good. Near to the train station, yet walkable to the old town (around 15-20mins). There are eating places and minimarts along the main road nearby. 

Agree that some may not like having rabbits around, these furry little creatures are harmless and do not make much noise. I did not feel uncomfortable having them around. 

Owner is probably eccentric to some, but he is surely a nice and kind person. Many came to Juraj after being turned away by other hostels that were full, Juraj still managed to find sleeping space to house them. 

There is also a kitchenette for those who want to cook there own meals or make their own beverages. 

I would not mind coming back here if I come to Bratislava again.

Flawed, but still reasonable

I have spent a night at Juraj's hostel.
The first impression was great as the rabbits were such a unusual feature to find in an hostel. The place is next to the train station, but the area is really dodgy despite the house being extremely quiet.
The rooms were pretty clean and the owner, Juraj, is actually a wonderful guy but the hygiene of the common areas was completely out of any parameter, and not just because of the rabbits.

lovely host, but..

Juraj is a really nice host. He gave me a detailed route from the bus station to the hostel before arrival which helped me easily find the location of the hostel.

The hostel wasn't location right in the old town, making me really comfortable to sleep at night as it wouldn't be too noisy in the hostel. 

During the two nights, I felt really welcomed by him and other people living in the hostel. We had really enjoyable chats. 

I would love to stay longer but I already planned and booked my tour afterward. Really looking forward to be the guest of the hostel again:))

Maybe from outside is not saying anything but inside with a little work you will feel really nice, the host Juraj is a helpful person who is trying its best with the conditions which he have. I've meet nice people also at his place . I've been there twice already, reservations via web works fine and Juraj is a fair person. I can recommend it but take in count that is a hostel. Juraj is doing his best to keep it quiet but still remains a hostel. Also one surprise may be for some people his rabbits and they are a lot :))
