We spent 4 nights in this hotel with our friends, during our roadtrip in Slovakia. We were 100% satisfied here - although the rooms are basic (the hotel has 2*), the staff was very friendly and extremely helpful - we got immediately whatever we asked for (extra towels, tourist map, vegetarian meals, extra veggies for breakfast...). 
Breakfast was very good (better than at some 4*hotels), the lady from the reception even made a home made cake. The pool/whirlpool/sauna are clean and pleasant to use. We loved eating halusky and sulance (Slovak national dishes) for lunch and just enjoying the nice terrace. There are a few tourist routes for a hike (we did the yellow one and climbed to Maly Javornik). It is an ideal place for a non-posh stay, in the middle of beautiful nature.

Very friendly staff, nice pool, beautiful nature

I have visited Podjavornik based on an advice of my friend. Such a beautiful nature! You can meet wild animals anywhere, a deer or a wild fox can be seen every hour while walking in the hills. Go there and enjoy! Just few km from the natural Czech border (no fence, just feel free to walk there and back).

Hotel staff was very friendly and responsive even to my quite unusual requests, everything is clean and rooms are warm, generally the level of the hotel and amenities is much higher than any 3-star hotels in the neighbourhood.

Fantastic food - go and try the salmon! And the coffee - Best one ever! Some Italian brand - But available only in the restaurant. I did not like the one in the night bar that much.

There is an small and old TV in the room, however, I have not switched it on during my stay, there is so much things to do in the hotel and its neighbourhood!

They have a nice heated sea-water swimming pool (despite the fact there is no sea in Slovakia), sauna and a whirlpool, bowling, snooker table, table-tennis and much more.

Parking is free. WiFi is free and quite powerful, I strongly recommend this place for a nice holi for families od couples. Looking forward to an upcoming ski season, there is a nice slope just opposite the hotel, amazing!
