The whole building (including the rooms) is old-fashioned and a bit rundown, but it is charming and you get everything you need. Not the whole staff speak English. Breakfast is prepared freshly in the morning.

Charming old guesthouse

We where welcomed by at nice personel and in the morning had a very nice breakfast.
The hostel i basic, but ok.
We only stayed one nigth as we where going to the mountains, and the location is very good for doing this.

Good value for money

The service is really good, the host is very kind. When it comes to location, it is not located in Bled, but Žirovnica (few kilometers from Lesce). Not a big deal if you travel with your own car. Hot water was not available at all times, only in the morning and evening.

Great value for money, convenient and cheap

SO and I arrived here in the late morning to see if we could check in early. Was difficult to find the place as there's no sign on the outside but we find the door open to the house that appears to match the number of the address and we go inside to find what appears to be the hostel. We are greeted by an elderly lady who doesn't speak any English but has my reservation papers. She starts to register us and then later gets on the phone and hands me the phone where I speak with a guy who speaks English and says he helps her out with the translation. He explains that the place is overbooked and that they have a deal with another place to put us in. We weren't interested in finding anywhere last minute so we agreed. We drive 1 street over and are greeted by a younger but elderly-ish couple (also no English) at a very nice-looking, large house...but then they lead us down into the basement. The room we're given is a small room with a low ceiling with enough space for a coat rack, 2 bunk beds, and a small table with a TV mounted above it. The bathroom is down the hall but luckily, there weren't any other rooms so we didn't have to share it. 

Frankly speaking, I read about this in another review on another site so it didn't come as a complete surprise. I was disappointed it happened to us, and the room didn't look as nice as the ones in the actual place we booked BUT it wasn't the end of the world either. The bunk beds were comfortable, at least. There were some spiders and tiny bugs in the room, but at least no mosquitoes or things disturbing us. No AC but the temperature was fine in the summer. 

While breakfast was provided (at the main accommodation), we only got it on the last day. We got to meet the guy I spoke with on the phone, Felix. After going through the shenanigans that happened on the first day, the breakfast was a nice surprise. Felix was incredibly friendly and chatty (he studied a form of kung fu in China and was sharing that with us), and the breakfast was plentiful and home-cooked by the original host we met. While the change in our stay threw us off, the final breakfast left us on a good note.

So I would say, if you're prepared for something like this to happen (likely due to the affordability), go for it. We still got the privacy of a double bedroom and a private bathroom in the end. The location is good with a bunch of cheap restaurants nearby (picerijas all over) as well as a supermarket, and it's about a 15 minute drive from Bled (maybe even less, actually).

Not bad but...

Well on june we booked 5 days for 215 euro which start from 08-13 july, today(08/07/19) i traveled 900 kilometers with already booked room for two persons, 5 nights including breakfast. Well when we arrived we haven't been welcome at all! We ringing on the door and after 15 minutes a old lady comes outside and she told us " i have no free room for you" can you imagine!!! Ridiculous!! She doent't know any English at all. She showed me up a paper with my reservation and told me that i have to come after two days if i want to stay for the rest 3 days ?! Wtf. I found a guy to translate and after all she complete told us that our room is already taken!!! Can you imagine, i deffo not recommended this place for booking!!!

I cannot belive this!!

Beware of this place decent people, as the owners of this place are shady, and the old woman running it, IS DOING BLACK MAGIC and other bad things over there.
Ye, we stayed there last year, and I just seen it posted here, and I HAVE TO WARN OTHRES, as we waisted alot of money time and energy there. Save your money and goodwill while traveling, and stay away from this low bad enery place. The old woman running and owning this is very confrontational, the rooms are old and smelly, quite dirty too, and very cold, she is very backtalking after we asked for a bit more heating, and making all sorts of stories up, very unstable and unease person, just very bad energy. For a comfotable stay and nice travel  CHOSE ANOTHER PLACE!
