Lovely location but a few things aren’t made apparent on the amenities description. The site is cash only. Site informed us on arrival they don’t want to pay card fees. I can appreciate this but we then had to pay ATM & international exchange fees to make payment. This was after putting funds into a Revolut card which does not charge for international transactions. Internet on the site was virtually non existent unless you were directly outside the main office and even then it was very patchy and I only got connection for short periods over 2 days of a 5 day stay. Apart from these minor inconveniences the surrounding area is beautiful and a good base for setting off father afield. The site is very clean and staff were helpful. There is one washing machine and one dryer onsite if you need to do any washing.

August 11-16 stay

This is a lovely campsite. We stayed in the top field area with views of the mountains and stars.

Lots of space. Nice clean facilities. Very friendly staff.

We booked rafting and canyoning thorough the campsite and both were amazing. Very professional set up and great guides/instructors.

A lovely plunge pool in the river Soca walking distance from the campsite. Can also walk or cycle easily into Bovec- one steep hill out of the campsite:

Fab campsite with great activities on the doorstep

We rented the wooden tents which have bedding and cooking equipments fridge and gas stove.  we would absolutely do this again.  Fantastic way to campout have a real bed (my husband has a bad back) and not have to bring loads of equipment.
Comment re the camp itself - incredibly well run, very clean - friendly staff.  In the middle of nature, a walk down to the river and we could bring the dogs!

thoroughly recommend

Very close to the beatiful Soca River, this is the only point of interest the camping can offer. It is crowdy and full of cars everywhere, camping managers know almost nothing the valley, they can only offer a quite wide range of activities such as rafting and kayak that are offered by a ton of companies based in Bovec. The camping is at the end of a street from where there are no means of transportation to the town of Bovec and to the rest of the valley. If you are with a camper, and obviously no car, you are blocked in the camping. They don’t accept cards, only cash.

Crowdy and poorly organized

Fantastic rent-a-tent experience! We stayed for 2 nights in perfect July weather - and quite frankly would have stayed another week. Tent location felt like magical fairy woods. Polite, quiet, considerate neighbors all around - that's the vibe of the place. And the roaring river just a short walk down the hill... perfection. Staff was super helpful and friendly - there are a hundred different "adventure" offices downtown, but you needn't go any further than the front desk here: the staff at Vodenca can save you a lot of BS and book the best activities for you at the best prices. Amazing stay.

Coming back next summer for sure!

It seems the owners care just for the money. They have put 4 super huge organized groups (scouts) with random guests, even though they don't have enough showers, toilets and sinks for that.. The location and place is nice, but it's hard to enjoy your vacations with loud teenagers around you. If you decide for this camp, which I strongly not recommend, good luck with sleeping, queues for the toilet, for doing the dishes and showers. The camp has 10 toilets and 10 showers for 300+ people. 

Also they have issues with electricity, you have to explain yourself why do you need it and then they decide if you are allowed to have it or no.

For that money, just stay somewhere else. 



Camping with teenagers, not enough showers and toilets, electricity issues

We rented a wooden tent, is was really nice and a calm area. It was a big camping but the facilities where clean and enough. You can book different activities. Only the wifi didn't work because there were to many people on the campsite (but then you don't advertise free wifi in my opinion).

Calm, tidy camping on a good location

We stayed for 7 nights which included two extensions beyond our initial reservation - highly appreciated the flexibility during peak season. Good location to start many outdoor adventures and booking of tours like canyoning and kayaking are supported by the hosts. Top layer of the camp side is nicely surrounded by a mountain view and great for star gazing. 
Even though it seems like only few showers and toilets for so many people, we never had to wait long and it was always clean. Hosts are friendly and always try to help. Appreciated the organized reservation confirmation via email which included all key information. 

Nice camping site at Soča - well located and clean 

The best camp i've been so far! Near the city, clean, quiet and the location is amazing. The staff is friendly and tend to your every need. This was the second time i stayed in this camp and i will do it in the future for sure. 10/10 would recommend!

Stay awesome Vodenca!

Amazing

Best Campingspot near Bovec! We came here for the second time/year and can highly recommend this place. The camp is always clean, has a beautiful view, is not too big, you'll get great cappuccino,  the camp has a lot of helpful facilities (camp kitchen, places to sit, places to dry your clothes...) and friendly stuff + the cat blacky (alias Mrs.  Norris). She is always looking after the campsite and if everything is ok. I'm not sure if she is doing the check-in too, but I'm sure she could if it's necessary.;-)  So Blacky is very busy but sometimes in the morning she has time for cuddle. Over all the camp has a great vibe and it's the perfect place for having a good time. On top you will find a very cool bar just a few steps downhill from the camp. We'll come back. :-)
