Superb hostel for families. Excelant owners. We stayed only for a night but could stay here for a week if we had time. Nice, big and clean rooms. If you want to cook something you can probably make an owen roast. Hostel and its ameties are clean. As for location of the hostel, you are in rural area and you can just relax and you can  turn everything off (head and phone). 
We shall return.

Just relax

Simple, very clean multi-bedroom with small shower and toilet, very well equipped, clean community kitchen, magical place in the karst with plenty of hiking opportunities and good recommendations from the hosts

Especially friendly and family friendly

On the positive side, we've liked the price, quiet location, well equipped kitchen and soft beds.

On the negative side: property is difficult to find and needs additional instructions from the owner; the address indicated in the booking confirmation makes you thinking it's located in Črni Kal village in Zazid street, while in fact it's located in Zazid village. Once you reach Zazid, there are signs pointing to the property, although they could be more visible - so, try to arrive before dark if possible. Narrow roads. The rooms on the first floor are reached via narrow, spiral stairs, so beware if you have got bulky luggage.

Choose this property if interested in trekking or climbing in the vicinity; otherwise, look elsewhere if you need just a budget stop over on a longer trip.

OK for a short stay

Great place, very quiet, well renovated, it is located in a small hill village, run by a very kind and cute family, the rooms are small and essential but very nice and cozy, kitchen available to cook with everything you need, I recommend you to make a purchase before going up to the village as there are no shops. Great place to tour the nearby places, only 15/20 minutes from Capodistria, and also to take some interesting walks. Wi-Fi included in the price, if you are in the area I recommend you.

Good value for money

I visited xaxid mainly because my travels are centered around big city's, here you get to know the real locals, in a real village. They made me feel like part of the family. There direction on how to get there by bus were spot on. And the people at the bus stop where lovely making sure I was on the right bus. So take a change of pace and visit. 

A break from the big city's 

We stayed in one of the rooms with a private bathroom, small but quite functional. The place is wonderful, well kept, a beautiful courtyard equipped with tables and benches where to eat breakfast or dinner, a shared kitchen with everything you need to cook and two absolutely gorgeous owners.

Sweet and romantic.

This small structure fits well into the local context, without being disturbed. The reception is familiar and simple, makes you feel at home. A visit here is a good excuse to discover the interior of Istria

Simple and welcoming

The best place to stay I could find in Slovenia. The hosts are particularly welcoming and available. Tina speaks French, which is more accessible to non-English speakers. There is nothing to say about cleanliness, the kitchen is all equipped. They did not travel by car, they came to pick us up for free about 15 minutes from the village. Besides, a bus passes through the village four times a day. Besides, the village is beautiful. If you are looking for serenity, this is the place to dream of. I would like to return there as soon as possible.

What a wonderful place.

I've been here several times during the climbing season, and I've never been disappointed. The hostel is really nice, and well-equipped (you got everything for cooking, stove, cutlery, grill) but the biggest pro is Dusan the owner, who always comes and help you whatever you need, and who is a really welcoming host.

Very, very nice and welcoming owner, great breakfast, clean, very nice and stylish accommodation, comfortable beds, extremely child-friendly, every wish read by the eyes, great place with charming views and endless possibilities to engage in sports or creativity, beautiful beach accessible by car
