Donkin House is a comfortable and clean overnight stay in Beaufort Wes. Friendly people and good accommodation with good food. Affordable pricing, value for money. Spacious rooms with good facilities. ideal stopover on your way to Cape Town and back.

As a single person travelling, I find Donkin House safe, central and clean. The staff are very helpful, efficient and friendly. This is my 3rd time staying there in a year and so far so good. The facilities in the room are perfect for an overnight. Safe and secure parking.

Always a good stay

I was so thankful and impressed with the accommodation at Donkin House. Their pet-friendly had an area for our puppy to play outside and the bedroom had enough room for us to put up his crate which he slept in for the night. Clean showers, clean kitchen and bedding! Overall, very happy with the stay and the service. 

Wonderful Pet friendly Stay!

Best place to stay at Beaufort West.  Room was very clean.  Nice hot water in bathroom. Staff very friendly and helpful.  Breakfast tasty as ordered.  Secure parking.  I can 100% recommend Donkin Country House.

The start to make a booking for a group of mens and ladies netball teams of which the numbers changed constantly. Any facilities nightmare. The lady, named Paige was brilliant, she responded immediately to queries, changes in numbers and was throughout the process friendly. I cannot thank her enough. When we arrived late at night, she was there sorted the players and rooms. One important aspect, the rooms are clean, the grounds and facilities are clean and the ladies in charge of the rooms friendly. Breakfast was made in the morning and sufficient. Daphne the owner, thank you, your establishment was a pleasure to deal with and the stay memorable.

Excellent service

We booked online. The booking experience was very good and efficient. We received a clean room. All that we needed for our one night stayover. Staff was friendly and can recommend the breakfast that we received the next morning in the restaurant.

Donkin Country House

When we have to travel to the Cape we always sleep over in Beaufort West at Donkin House.  We then book their disabled room as my husband is in a wheel chair.   Although many places advertise that they are wheel chair friendly, in several cases you find that the bathroom is not really suitable for a person in a wheel chair, causing many problems for us.   The disabled room at Donkin house is easy accessible, big enough, very affordable, and most of all the bathroom is one of the best suitable bathrooms for a disabled person we ever came across. 

Donkin house sleep over

Good place to stay on your way to Cape Town. Pet friendly which is ideal, at a small extra fee. We didn’t eat, but food looked good. There is a fridge and aircon in the room. Would recommend the place.

We had 2 bedrooms en suite n lounge and a kitchen parking was right in front of the door and safe.
