Due to covic 19 we were unable to honour our booking as we were in lockdown, after a phone call to the owner, who asked me to email him, which we did on several occasions and are still waiting a response, (4 weekslater) serious lack of customer service, we will never stay here again 

Disgusting behaviour from owner

The property is clean and pleasant, with a small sheltered pool. The property has easy 10-15 minute walk to the sheltered little rocky beach where some birds nest in the kelp.
The room whilst described as colonial and superior was very much a normal acceptable room with en-suite bathroom. 
Unfortunately there was no hot water. We hate to waste water but having run the hot tap and shower for five minutes we decided that as it had been a humid day and cold/ just tepid showers would have to do before going out to dinner. Knocked twice to get someone to ask about hot water both before the shower and just before going out but the place was like the Marie Celeste..... empty.
Came in late and  next morning again wasted at least five minutes of water in the hope there would be some before again resorting to cold showers. Explanation at breakfast when someone appeared was the geezer had just been replaced and also maybe the ‘help’ had used too much hot water for their showers..... hardly satisfactory for what was certainly not a cheap stay. Breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked with good produce but decided to cut our loses and not stay the second night we had paid for. They have a 100% loss policy if you don’t cancel 7 days before but they didn’t tell us 7 days before we stayed that we would not have hot water! 


Somewhat disappointing

Run by 2 guys.
Told breakfast was from 8.30am to 9.30am.
Went to breakfast at 8.50am---NOTHING-- not a soul anywhere.
Knocked on room marked "PRIVATE"----- NOTHING --- no answer.
5 minutes latter POUNDED on the Private door. One guy came "sorry I over slept" was the reply.
Eventually had some breakfast.

Don't go there

Lovely guest house in quiet neighbourhood  5 minute drive into hermanus.
Great breakfast 
Lots to do and see in hermanus 
Recommend the harbour bay restaurant in the new harbour excellent food
Would stay again. Great hosts

Hermanus trip

We had the most fantastic experience staying at AmaKhosi Guesthouse.  Thank you so much Awie and Mark!  The bedrooms were beautiful and clean with the small special details of lavendar and chocolates on your bedside table.  Breakfast was outstanding! "your fruit salad was amazing!"  Awie looked after us as if we were family.  We stayed for 4 nights and felt right at home.  On our departure, saying our goodbyes and thank yous.  Awie gives us each a padkos for the drive home with a personalized note on the brown paper bag thanking us for our stay and to please return.  For those of you who aren't sure what "padkos" is...  it's snacks for the drive home.  I wish you both all the best and hope you have a fabulous year!

Fantastic Experience WOW!!!

Awie was such an amazing host who put little flowers on the bed and breakfast and the room was spacious with a nice balkony. A little bit older but clean and good bed.
We would have liked to stay a little bit longer.

Wonderful stay

Small and cozy b&b! Ideal for staying a few days relaxing Breakfast is excellent and varied and the owners are very kind (one speaks very well Italian) there is also a small swimming pool with comfortable drainage in a beautiful garden our room was right on the garden!

It's welcoming.

With attention to detail, the whole facility is furnished. Very friendly and attentive reception and service. Well secured in a quiet area near the sea. Good breakfast with fresh fruit. Very good wifi. Fully furnished for German guests. A very clear recommendation.

Clear recommendation

stayed  2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The room was big, comfortable and clean, however, the breakfast, although adequate took far too long to get the cooked part. About an hour, which was inconvenient as we wanted to get out and about. It was  also fairly late in the morning.We had difficulty notifying management of our initial arrival,  so had to wait outside for a while

We were welcomed by a very friendly host. Room was large and comfortable with a lovely view out over the suburb and a glimpse of the sea. Bed was comfortable with TV and very large en-suite which consisted of a bath, shower, toilet and wash hand basic with lots of lovely spoils. We had a balcony off our room with a table and chairs. We were unable to enjoy this facility as we had welcoming rain for our 2 day stay. There is a coffee station in the room. The breakfast was outstanding. A very large selection of cereals, cheese, cold meats, and a lovely cooked breakfast. Coffees and teas also available. We would recommend this B&B.
