The accommodation is clean with incredibly comfortable bedding. I had a very spacious room with a full bath and sufficient closet space. I would 110% recommend this accommodation if you’re ever in the city or Roses.

Incredible Stay

Very nice and economical overnight accommodation. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the room which was outstanding. The bathroom and main room were both nice, big, and clean. Can definitely recommend African Sands.

Stay at African Sands

The guest house is very clean and the lady working in the reception is friendly. The only thing the guest house must do is to put soap in their bathroom . I will in the future bring my family for the stay

The place is very neat, very beautiful and has good customer service. It’s convenient with a shopping centre nearby. The accommodation is not difficult to find as it is situated in the main road. Offers free parking for guests travelling with cars 

Review

This guesthouse is more than what you expect. It is clean and everything is there. Their service is amazing . They are very helpful and kind too. We have had a problem with our car keys and someone was called in to take me to where I was going. Really felt grateful!

The best Guesthouse in Bloemfontein

We enjoyed our stay at African sands, everything was in order except the fact that our room didn't have complementary bath soap or bath gel had to go buy them. The BBQ facility is exposed to the rain one cannot braai when it's raining thats one thing they need to fix cover the BBQ facility with a temp tent or close it completely.

Awesome

The owner of the guest house was very caring,  checking guest telephonical not to miss  checking time as it was getting late upon arrival. When I open the room, it was big, beautiful, neat and clean. It's a place to rest and sleep nicely.

Nice place to visit

Lovely place with very large, comfortable rooms and nice bathrooms. It's also very conveniently located for anyone travelling through Bloemfontein. Although it's not really a "bed & breakfast".

I stayed there twice and both times there was no breakfast as suggested online and by signs in the the rooms. I understand that breakfast service might have been temporarily stopped during the COVID-19 pandemic, but it would be nice if that was mentioned somewhere. There is still a small dining room set up, but with not so much as some bread and butter for you to make your own toast.

The staff could also be a little more diligent about wearing masks, although our interaction was minimal and everything seemed well-cleaned.

Bed? Yes. Breakfast? Apparently not.

Lovely place to stay for a family of 4.
Room is cosy. There is enough space to move around comfortably, beds are comfy and everything is clean. Great pool and braai area that would be great during warmer months.
Staff are friendly and very helpful. 



Great value for money

We drove from Pretoria way before dawn to meet our meeting deadlines, tried to check in a little earlier, it was a total mess. Owner informed staff to not check us earlier under any circumstance - had to go to our work meetings without having a chance to freshen up - they could not assist us with the Lekkaslaap bookings that were not right either. The room is awful, no aircon, dirty, windows are filthy; their ongoing renovations mean unbearable noise - the promise that the noise will stop by 16:00 is also a blatant lie.
