The room was clean and tidy and well serviced. The staff were extremely friendly and always willing to go the extra mile. The owner was very helpful and informed and ready to afford accurate and great advice. The breakfast was great...even though we do not eat meat dishes. Secure parking.

Three night stay

Previously, we always stayed at a hotel for the night on the way back from holiday in cramped rooms and scrummed down for breakfast in the morning.
This year was different - the room could accommodate the 4 for us comfortably. We got take-away pizzas from a nearby pizzeria and our host made us comfortable on the veranda. The next morning breakfast was ready - a great way to start the day.
The was by far the most relaxing and comfortable homeward bound stop we have had in years. We will be back.

Great Value for Money

The personal service we received and the homely atmosphere made our stay even though it was short.. Found this guesthouse when booking through Discovery Vitality and can recommend the establishment.  Will remember it and use it for our next stay in Bloem.  

Two night Stay

This is our second stay at this beautiful guest house and we will always come back. Safe, clean and peaceful. A lovely swimming pool for the warm days and a garden to relax. We loved every minute here. The owner and staff are awesome.

Lovely green oasis in Bloemfontein

The owner at Bloemstantia was very friendly, even though we arrived late at night (we did let him know in advance).
The grounds and buildings were beautiful at night, and even more so when we got up for breakfast.
The one downside was that there was no power point at the tea station and we had to boil the kettle on the floor. That aside, the room was large and very comfy - well appreciated at the end of our 2000km honeymoon roadtrip.
My wife is vegan, and they did not understand this initially. The owner, however, was so interested to learn that we chatted for an hour about it. As he was so willing to learn, we even bought him a vegan recipe book. How lovely to find someone so keen to help, even after owning the place for many years. I would definitely recommend this place, and would stay there again, even just to see how he and his very lovely cook are doing with their vegan options.

There is no chance that I will keep my firearm in one of your safe deposit boxes.
Please put in proper safe deposit boxes as per the South African Firearms Control Act of 2000

We enjoyed our stay which was very pleasant and comfortable.  Unfortunately, we only enjoyed the breakfast and staff engagement on one occasion and when we were leaving.  The food in the morning was great and we had fun.  will refer to other parties in the future .

Weekend Special - Bloemstantia

our son played in a squash tournament in Bloemfontein. our stay was very comfortable and the proximity of the guest house to the squash courts was perfect. the breakfasts were fine and were thoroughly appreciated
