😍What a peaceful beautiful 
 place👌👌👌The rooms are very nice and clean. The stuff is very friendly and always around to help with every little thing. We had our 10th wedding anniversary at the place.. Sis Thato made our day so special 😍 The decor was on point and the food was so tasty.She even went an extra mile 'we got more that we expected. We will definitely go back again.

Peaceful place to be👌

Unfortunately, we found the images on the booking site misleading. The staff are friendly but we couldn't deny the disappointment we experienced when we were taken to our room. The standard room images don't relate to the room we were given. The place was fairly clean but not up to standard. The bath towels for example are insultingly small and we weren't entirely sure how clean they were. The aircon was extremely noisy but we kept it on because of the heat. The paint peeling off the walls and the damp in the bedroom ruined the efforts we could see were made to update the place. The venue is close to Sun City which was the draw card but we won't be returning.

Overnight stay

So we booked this place for a school reunion, nice enough hotel with a pool and a bar, the pool wasn’t full when we got there so couldn’t use it, but the rooms were relatively modern and clean, the only complaint would be that my door was tricky to lock and took a few goes, but the staff were friendly enough and everyone’s car was washed as part of the stay, the address is a little loose and you have to pass through a bit of a small town that doesn’t have much to it, but the hotel itself was nice enough and set back far enough from the road 

School reunion 

Not very nice at all. Staff was not friendly or professional. Room was dirty and did not smell nice. Booked one night but left within a hour. Booked the deluxe room but the geyser broke and they moved me to standard room. Left the place and went to a different B&B

Not Good

Dear Thato 

We stayed at your accommodation over the above mentioned weekend. Firstly when doing the booking we had a good look at your website and was very impressed. The booking was really easy to do and a pleasure to work and communicate with Adelaide. 

Very friendly and nice staff 

However when we got to the accommodation it was another story altogether. The rooms that were located to us were smelly and looked so untidy, we actually didn't feel comfortable in these rooms. We asked Adelaide to move us. The second rooms were a bit bigger however still had a smell and was very unkept, untidy n lacked a three star look. 

The beds were hard as hell, the pillows were so uncomfortable and make up on the sheets. 

Everything in the rooms were old and creeky I didn't feel comfortable at all. 

The showers were very untidy cobwebs and spiders everywhere toilet seat loose 

The list of things available in the rooms were not even in place eg: hair dryer 

We actually checked out a day early due to these unforeseen circumstances and uncomfortable stay - we just couldn't take it any longer. 

Adelaide was not very happy with us checking out, however is was bad. 

It makes me wonder that you as the owner dint even email or call to check what was the problem and the reason for our check out. So sorry but I will not recommend any stay at your  place. 

I hope you would take heed t my email and improve your pathetic standards, the website is actually such false advertising

Complaint

Booked here for a couples weekend away.   Expected a good setting that was conducive to a bit of late night drinks and good memories instead we left a day early because of the uncomfortable feel of the place. 
The staff were very friendly and the manager was very accommodating which was a positive. 
The biggest problem was the overall look and feel of the place which felt very dated and not very well maintained. 
We were given the "blue room" which had ther bath room in another room that was separated by a hall way that did not lock.  The room itself was very average with a bed that felt as if you were sleeping on the floor.   The bedding was not clean as I found what seemed to be woman's make up on the pillow cases.
Everything creeked and rattled from the cupboard doors to the room doors and even the bed. 
The place is also not ideally situated as there is no acceptable eating places anywhere close.   If arriving late afternoon or at night,  there is no option but suncity which is 19km away. 
Breakfast was ok and acceptable given the price paid. 

If not for suncity,  i really don't see why anyone would book into this place.  
Pictures on online are also very misleading!


Bad experience - below average

We had a great stay,the rooms and bathrooms are neat,friendly staff at the reception,nice and plenty breakfast( warm and cold) and a lot of fruits in the yard.We shall visit again next year.And the place is not too far from the Sun City.

Great stay

Gatz Guesthouse for us to visit the Pilanesberg National Park. The guesthouse contacted us before we arrived, and everything went fine. Both rooms were ready when we arrived. The guesthouse is located in a mangrove plantation, which is unique in itself. The rooms are clean and in good condition, spacious bathroom. The breakfast is very simple, and not to me European standard, but with a freshly picked mango, then OK. Extras are not possible, there is what's available. The Internet is just next to the reception. And indescribably slow. A large pool, but not a single room. Like the rented pool-sized toilets in the bathroom. For people looking at the security around the gates, there's a two-minute drive from the park, and the restaurant itself is just a couple of minutes away from the hotel.

Simple overnight

We booked two nights in this guesthouse in a room that was Deluxe. In our minds it didn't look like a Deluxe room and when we consulted they said that yes, that was the Deluxe room. Beyond the room the place is fine. It has a large swimming pool and a full breakfast. Maybe it's very secluded from everything and in an area that doesn't seem to be very safe, but we didn't have any problems with that. It's about 20 km from Pilanesberg National Park, which makes it ideal for going back and forth on a day at this place.

Deluxe?

We walked around the Pilanesberg reserve all day and without worry, after reading the reviews of the internet users via TRIPADVISOR, we chose to come and spend the night at the Gatz house. That it was not our surprise when we arrived to see that a wedding was being held there. So the pool was covered with a net so that the children couldn't go there... so we couldn't have walnuts when we got there to bathe. The music was very loud. We also spent the whole night in our little cottage with like the heater signalling some very fine locks but we knew it.
