White Water Farm is a nice place, but we found it to be an interesting experience. We feel like we've been ripped off. We went to have lunch at Wortelgat. From White Water Farm, we had arranged for a so-called 'shuttle,' only to find out it was an extremely expensive taxi service. Or actually not, it was just a local with a car who brought us. No price was communicated beforehand, and because it was arranged so easily and quickly, we assumed it would be at a reasonable price. During the return trip, it turned out to be around 1200 R (about €60), for about 25 kilometers (round trip). For comparison, the overnight stay costs €90. We were shocked by this amount and raised the issue with both the taxi driver and operational receptionist. We mainly encountered indignation because 'we should have asked how much it costs.' In our experience, given this exorbitant amount, it should have been told to us. For reference, a 25 kilometers ride from Cape Town costs around 200 R. The receptionist indicated that it was 40 kilometers and that that amount was normal for this number of kilometers. I then checked the number of kilometers and it turned out not to be 40 but 26. But even after this, price negotiation was not possible. We eventually paid the amount after negotiating was not possible but are very disappointed with this service and guest approach. The responsibility was placed on us, as guests, while he was the one who had agreed on the price with the driver. Extremely audacious in our eyes to be so casual and nonchalant about such an amount.

Bad service

Once again our stay at WWF proved a great success. WWF was the first destination on our 2024 South African itinerary. For anyone visiting the Western Cape with intentions to self-drive The Garden Route it is ideal: just over 2 hours drive from Cape Town Airport so you are well on your way. 
It must boast one of the best & cleanest pools as well as being free from any pressure to find comfy sun loungers with space to breath!
The breakfast baskets delivered to your door each morning is a nice touch - no need to get dressed up for breakfast!
Cameron & his Team will endeavour to ensure you are well catered for in every respect.
Being on a farm you have access to a variety of walks that will suit all.
It's  not every day you wake up to the braying of 3 lovely donkeys just outside your window. And that's before you meet the two pigs!
Close enough to Hermanus & closer still to a lovely little town - Stanford.

The Perfect Place to Start Your Garden Route Holiday

White water farm is beautifully situated a little way out of Stanford . The farm has pigs, Nguni cows, donkeys, alpacas , cats and so much more . A lovely pool area and its own vegetable garden . The accommodation is lovely with a substantial size lounge , bedroom me bathroom with a kitchen area and dining area plus an outside table . They bring delicious breakfast baskets in the morning with fruit, muesli, croissants, jam, juice and cheese and farm fresh eggs . 
My only negative comment is that the handwash and body wash were watered down or they were of a really poor quality, plus hot water is sporadic in the shower as is the water pressure . 
Otherwise we had a divine time and would still happily visit again . 

Gorgeous spot 

Beautiful farm and fabulous breakfast with a basket of fresh farm eggs, cheese,
cold meat, fruit and yoghurt delivered every morning. Cottage is lovely with superb views. Place is well managed and spotless.
One bit of small feedback is that the croissants are not good and need a lot more work.
Still we rated the place 5 out of 5.

Beautiful and fabulous stay

When we entered our room at White Water Farm we were literally blown away!  Totally gorgeous and so beautifully decorated.  A gorgeous sitting area, kitchenette and two fab bathrooms and dressing room.  A wonderful terrace where we had an amazing evening braai all ready to cook by our hosts. Gorgeous pool area.  Could not ask for more Perfection!  A lovely breakfast brought to our room with fresh eggs ready to cook.  Can’t wait to visit again next time we are in the area.

What a gem

We had two nights at White Water for my birthday. The accommodation was beautiful and although they do not have a restaurant, unless it is for a function, they do provide a good selection of ready meals and braai food to cook yourself with minimum effort required. 
The swimming pool is a good size and the water was surprisingly warm. 
Beautifully maintained grounds and helpful staff. 
Breakfast was brought to our rooms in a basket delivered by staff and had a good selection of food.

Beautiful United in a wonderful setting

We stayed two nights in the Gatehouse Cottage, a massive suite with kitchen and sitting facilities, really comfortable and a nice patio outside.

The whole farm is delightful well run by Chanel and Cameron. Springbok and Cattle roam around and there are plenty of birds around.

Breakfast is bought to the room with fresh local produce each morning. The restaurant is not open now as many guests bring their own food but Cameron recommended two local places to eat dinner both of which were very good.

The farm is quite close to the main road so there is not far to travel on gravel and dirt roads so easily accessible without a four wheel drive.  

We would certainly stay again should we be in the area. 

Two lovely relaxing days

We stayed in the Gatehouse cottage. For 3 nights. It was very clean and spacious.
Had everything we needed.
Breakfast was served in the restaurant. Very varied options so should suit all tastes. Came quickly and was well cooked and presented.
We enjoyed meeting the animals.
Massage in the spa room was excellent.
The pool area was beautiful.
Would highly recommend if you are looking to stay in the Stanford area

Lovely place to stay

What an amazing spot. Nestled against the mountains on the Klein River you will find this little piece of paradise! 

Chanel and Cameron and their team will leave you spellbound. 

We had a friends themed lunch for 25 people. The theme was India and all the good, decor , music was just perfect. We were welcomed with a tidewater gin cocktail with edible gold leaf and rose petals. Starters of homemade samosas with chilli chutney followed by two delicious curries, one chicken and one beef, with all the side dishes. Dessert was homemade donut balls and homemade pistachio ice cream. 

Accommodation is first class!

Paradise just outside Stanford

3 of us stayed in the barn. High quality accommodation looking onto the woods behind the farm with lots of springbok running around. The place is secluded but has a pool to share and a conservatory for guests staying in any of the rooms.
Breakfast was brilliant and the staff were more than helpful.
