We stayed at the Cape Standard for 2 nights and wish we could have stayed longer - it's a lovely place. David and Tino were so helpful at recommending places to go, and we appreciated being able to keep our luggage safely there for the day after we checked out. Breakfast was great each morning. The room was lovely, had everything we needed and was spotless. The candle was also a nice touch! Thanks, hope to come back one day. 

Lovely place to stay

What a little gem in a great location. 
We had a brilliant 4 night stay. The room was well appointed with a fabulous shower, huge bed and beautifully decorated. 
Paddington and Tino made our stay truly memorable and were so kind and helpful; nothing was too much trouble. 
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this guest house and will definitely stay again. 

Fabulous

We spent four nights here and I wish we had spent longer. David and his staff were gorgeous. Professional and attentive without being intrusive. The pool area was quiet and relaxing. The location was easy for the shoreline and the city. Breakfast was excellent

Little oasis

Small and calm residence with a very personal care.
Our room was very nice: big, very clean with a small kitchen and green balcony. 
We also loved the pool. 
The Cape Standard is just a perfect oase close to Capetown, stadium and Waterfront!
We‘ve been there for 13 days and everything was just perfect!

Top stay in Cape Town 

I would definitely recommend to stay at Cape Standard! The location is great and the hosts are sooo friendly and nice! Its a very peaceful and green place to stay. Great breakfast as well and the rooms are beautiful. 

Great stay!!

This guesthouse is located in Green Point, within easy walking distance of Sea Point, 20 minutes to the lighthouse - a pick-up/drop off point for the popular sight-seeing bus and other tours. The room was comfortable, with handy muliti-sockets, so you won't need adaptors.  The balcony was delightful, the perfect place to sit out and have our complimentary evening sherry, overlooking the garden. The garden is the star of the show, bamboo and willow surrounding the pool lending a lovely tropical atmosphere. You could comfortably spend all day out there with a good book. That's also where you will take your tasty breakfast, with the myriad of colourful native birds serenading you.

What really makes the place stand out from the crowd, however are the guys who run the place, Paddington and Tino. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they will happily organise any restaurant bookings or transfers for you. They do it with a charm and warmth that means that feel that your may have arrived as guests, but you leave as friends. 

Top tip, book direct with Paddington or Tino and they will give you a good discount on the third-party prices quoted on-line.

Lovely, restful haven, close to the centre of Cape Town

We loved being guests in David’s green garden and the cosy guesthouse.
Everything’s perfect here: stuff superfriendly and caring (Thanks to Paddington and his team).
They took care about everything to make us feel home and pampered.
Beds are big and comfortable.
Everything is neat and tidy.
The Pool area is surrounded by a beautiful garden.

Nice and cosy green oasis in central location

Cape Standard is a wonderful and comfortable hotel where they put the guest needs in focus.
We felt so seen and acknowledged. The service is topnotch and the rooms are very personal och practical.
Love the locations so it is easy access to SeaPoint for morning walks and a dip in the Atlantic.

Welcome guest

Very nice hotel. The rooms are beautifully decorated and with good comfortable beds. The hotel is located in a quiet area just outside the city center which is easily reached with an Uber for a few Rand. Take a morning walk along the sea or why not a swim - even if the water is really cold.
