Location suited my needs, the building (two adjacent houses that have been converted) is a bit of a rabbit warren and the dated facilities could do with a refurb but it was fine for my purposes. 
Breakfast was good, with nice strong coffee, and the housekeeper Barbara was very helpful. They don't accept American Express.

Functional and reasonable

We visited this guesthouse as a group of people travelling together for work.
The place is clean. We however experienced 3 X loadshedding in a 16 hour period.
They do not provide any light, candles whatsoever to assist their guests.
I had to bath in ice cold water in the dark with only the light of my cellphone. Breakfast was pitch-dark. We could literally not see what we were eating. I told them to take R20 and buy a candle from Mr Price Home. Not sure that they took the advice. I will definitely stay away as long as loadshedding prevails. Other guests complained about the same matter last year. Pity  I only saw the review afterwards. They did nothing in a years time. I doubt that they will do anything now. Go there if you are geared for loadshedding. Don't bargain on the establishment to provide you with anything.

service you provided for the managers that stayed at your Guest House, we will definetly recommend your establishment to others and we will your guesthouse going forward.

Accommodation - Full House

The guest house was pleasant enough, but I was unimpressed with the accommodation provided. I booked 3 rooms for 3 adults and was given two bedrooms. The one room had a large bed, while the other room was very small with bunk beds! I was very surprised that they found it acceptable for adults to sleep in bunk beds. They did find an additional room for part of our stay, but I had to pay for this room which was also an unexpected expense. One other observation is that I would have liked there to be some form of lighting during load shedding. There were no candles, torches or any kind of back up lighting.

Our stay at Annette Guesthouse

I stayed in your guesthouse for work at the Panorama Medi Clinic. I stayed 3 nights and was very satisfied with your accommodation. During my stay it was very quiet. Very pleasant for me. Pleasant small-scale accommodation with beautiful gardens in a quiet, safe neighborhood of Cape Town.
Shops and restaurant within walking distance. Fine.

Exellent guest house

Everything was as expected. I was there for 4 days on a business trip and it was cheaper than a hotel and much more comfortable. It's in a very safe and quiet location and walking distance from a mall.

Good place

Very good location. People very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very small but has everything that was needed. Breakfast was very well prepared and good enough selection of food and drinks. There was off street parking and check in and out was seamless.

Nice stay

Annette Guesthouse was a good place for us to start our holidays in South Africa.
We were travelling with two small children and both enjoyed the vrey personal atmosphere of Annette Guesthouse.

Good place to start the holidays

Good value for money and enjoyed my stay. I did previously stay here, but get the feeling the facilities is not well kept, i.e the remote control for TV and DSTV is not functional. Still a good place and very central and safe place.JP

Cape Town Trip

Rooms were clean and tastefully decorated. Additional blankets provided for those cold nights.
Breakfast was reasonable.
Parking is a bit of a problem as there is not sufficient space if most of the rooms are taken.
