Cape Village Lodge is a gem, nestled in a quiet Durbanville neighbourhood. The property offers lush gardens, which we enjoyed right outside our room on a private terrace (we stayed in the self-catering queen room). Our bed was incredibly comfortable, the bathroom provided quality toiletries and a spacious shower, and the kitchenette was a bonus especially when we brought meals in. Renelda, the property manager, was very welcoming upon our arrival and graciously arranged storage for our two sets of golf clubs. The property host Michael was equally welcoming and provided many excellent recommendations including local restaurants and the Oranjezicht Farmers Market in Cape Town at the V&A Waterfront—which we visited twice!

My husband and I stayed at the Lodge for eight nights and were there for a mixture of business and pleasure. We could comfortably work in the room’s sitting area and outside on our private patio with complimentary WiFi service. Durbanville offers a great selection of restaurants, grocery stores, and shops. Within minutes you can drive out to the beautiful countryside which offers a number of wineries and onsite restaurants. We found dining out especially enjoyable – not once did we have a bad meal.

A number of golf courses are also available—the Durbanville golf club is a great course and within walking distance from the Lodge. We golfed twice at the championship De Zalze Golf Course which was a spectacular experience, and also enjoyed golfing and the views at the Paarl Golf Club.

Seeing the beautiful countryside of Franschoek was a highlight, and dining at the Chefs Warehouse at Maison was an amazing culinary experience. If you enjoy wine, we recommend visiting Remhoogte Wine Estate for a memorable tasting with a spectacular view of the Stellenbosch mountainside. Was excited to see a zebra on the neighbouring reserve!

If you’re looking to stay somewhere with close proximity to Cape Town with all the big city attractions, but equally to the countryside with the splendour of nature, Cape Village Lodge and all the comforts it provides is the ideal accommodation. 


An oasis with ideal proximity

Loved everything about Cape village lodge it really felt like home. 
The staff is friendly and we were assisted with transport to go to nearby restaurants. This is definitely a home away from home. Our room was very beautiful and cosy. I really enjoyed my stayed here. 

Heaven on earth

Firstly the staff is really friendly and helpful, the lodge is in a quite area and has tranquil gardens. 
The rooms are definitely 4* quality and were clean.
Breakfast was exactly what I expected . Not too much and not too little. 
Overall I thing this is was brilliant and I would definitely stay there again on my next trip.

Awesome stay!

The Cape Village Lodge is a quiet and very well maintained establishment offering a nice place to stay in the Durbanville area.  The facilities and service of the friendly personnel are superb.  The owners should however evaluate the mattresses as the one in the room where we stayed needs replacement.

Stayed at the Cape Village Lodge during a business trip to Cape Town.Beautiful surroundings and a very comfortable room.Breakfast was good. Strong and uninterrupted Wifi signal. A selection of cereals, fruits and hot breakfast on order.Hosts were friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.

Comfortable Stay

Cape Village Lodge is a wonderful vacation place. 
The personnel is very kind, hard worker and makes your stay very nice and easy. 
The breakfast is just amazing. 
The room was very clean, the swimming pool temperature is perfect (more than 30°C) and so pleasant after a long day of tourism...  
All nice spots are accessible easily (Cape Town, vineyards, Cape of good hope, Table Mountain...)

Michael and Renelda have a 'hands-on' approach which makes for a 4 star home away from home.
The grounds are proudly taken care of with beautiful rooms and a pool to cool off...

Complete Bliss

Clean, spacious, and conveniently situated if you want to be in the Durbanville area. Have stayed here a number of times and enjoyed it every time. I'm a bit picky when it gets to food and the staff have accommodated me every time with the breakfast served.

convenient and good value

We spent a very comfortable one night stay here.  We arrived close to midnight and were provided with a gate code and clear information where to find our key and room.  Room was lovely, comfortable and clean, comfortable bed, good quality linen & very nice bathroom (although I would've loved some bubble bath).  We thought it was excellant value for money which included a very good breakfast.  Would recommend it.
