We had a nice stay. Rooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean. The big bed was very comfortable, we slept well in a very quiet environment. The property is more spacious than we thought from the pictures. The motorcycle was safely parked in the premises. Frances and Co. provided a strong breakfast and handed over (very carefully!) a bottle of wine on our birthday. Our motorcycle landlord was within walking distance of the corner, wine cellars with great restaurants are very easy and affordable to reach by Uber.

Beautiful surroundings in a peaceful suburb. Lovely veranda and pool area to relax.
Room was so clean and smelt so good. Very comfortable bed.
Staff friendly and courteous. Nothing is too much for them.
An all round great place to stay.

Home away from Home

Well situated and very well kept. The room was very clean, and the bed was comfy and the bathroom was nice and spacious. The location was very convenient for anyone needing easy access to the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town

Great Accomodation

We stayed there for three nights and occupied three rooms. Frances' reception was warm and excellent: guided tours, restaurants, great availability... The rooms are impeccable, spacious and comfortable. The geographical situation is very convenient: easy access to the Waterfront, the airport and the Cape of Good Hope. A cozy lunch prepared and served by Franck (French speaker). We will not hesitate to recommend this place and return there. A very big thank you to Frances and her husband: the owners.

I recently had a one night stay to attend a family occasion in Cape Town. Morninsgide Cottage is superbly situated, spotlessly clean, fresh and bright rooms with all amenities I needed, friendly host, delicious breakfast and beautiful, peaceful surrounds. It was a perfect spot for me to rest and prepare for the busy day ahead. I will be back. Thank you Francis and Frank. 

Wonderful stay

Thank you for your hospitality.  Your welcome made us feel very much at home!  It was great that we could basically do 'our own thing!' Our needs were well taken care of.  Our stay was enjoyed by all. 
 Morningside cottage will definitely be visited again!

Trip Review - Glenwood House

Lovely decorated, clean cottage super nice host and delicious breakfast always with advice and action available good recommendations for enterprises and restaurants nice pool and nice private terraces

It's perfect.

Great location, layout and beautiful gardens. 
Everything was very neat and clean. Rooms had added touches like fans and bug spray. 
Great breakfast in the morning. 
Hosts were very accommodating, and gave good recommendations in the area.

Great value stay close to wine farms

Booked in and asked about breakfasts: no low-fat yoghurt or milks only full fats, confirmed I would have full English and my wife fruit and cereal but not at a time suitable for us 07h30 but only at 08h00 (in phases!?). Lemon for my Rooibos tea (a firm South African favourite)? no......"but shall have to find a lemon from the garden".We are early risers (about 06h00) but in Room 4 we could not open the curtains until just before 08h00 as the glass door looked through into the breakfast room and the back window was the regular path for the domestic worker=no privacy. No Ceylon tea in the room, only Rooibos and Earl Grey with a single packaged rusk. Into the breakfast room at 8, one couple there, tables not cleaned, no milk at the cereal table nor covering for the fruit from the flies. Then the bombshell - run out of eggs........nowhere ever have we been faced with that, and knowing the number of guests...... Asked for cutlery and a handful was literally dumped onto the place mat and he walked away. Redeeming features? it was near to where we had to be, was quiet in a nice suburb with safe parking.

OK on face value...........

What a beautiful quiet place to stay at! Way beyond my expectations. Francis goes out of her way to welcome you and also went out of her way to help me - THANK YOU!  I will definitely go back for a longer stay.
