House on the Hill was very accommodating, I had a nice, big room with a balcony. Comfortable bed, fridge, private bathroom and close to all amenities in Green Point. Also in walking distance to the Waterfront 

Great stay in Greenpoint

I stayed at this great place for 4 days. Deon was amazing. He was so hospitable and showed every kindness towards my stay.  From giving advice on great places to stay, to giving general information about the area.  The room was quiet, clean and caterered for all my needs. 

Fantastic stay at House On The Hill

I moved to the House on the Hill from a  different location because of the state of the hostel I booked and the staff there. When I went to check out this place and called Claudi, she was the most helpful and welcoming person I have ever met. The place is beautiful and cosy, you truly feel at home here. Friendly neighborhood with restaurants and coffee shops in walking distance all over, walking distance to the Waterfront as well. Thanks so much, I know where I am staying next time in Cape Town.

Amazing place to stay right in the heart of Green Point

We enjoyed our stay at House on the Hill. It is convenient to the V & A waterfront and also has a number of restaurants nearby. We particularly enjoyed Giovanni’s an Italian deli with excellent take out side salad options. The staff and House on the Hill were knowledgeable and helpful regarding nearby attractions.

Great location near Waterfront. Friendly owners and staff, helpful with organising trips to see the city.
Bright and clean rooms. Environmentally conscious. Good breakfast and coffee. I would recommend a stay!

Great location, cosy and clean

We stayed at the House on the Hill for three nights. I think it has on of the best locations in Capetown, as you are based in between everything important. It is a 15 minutes walk to the Waterfront, to the City Bowl and also to beautiful Sea Point. And even at the back of the hotel you will find fantastic restaurants & bars (El Burro,..). The rooms are simple, but well decorated and have everything you need. We enjoyed the little breakfast a lot. They had fantastic bread and a great choice of condiments. I think there you can definitely see that the owners are Germans. We would for sure stay here again.

Great location and super nice staff!

Located at Green Point, a ten-minute walk from the V&A waterfront, staying at House on the Hill had easy access to the various tourist spots. The room was spacious with clean shower facilities. There is a nice sit out area for a barbecue. There is also a common kitchenette.

Perfect location

Loved the area that it's at as its close to a lot of attractions. Clean and cozy.  Went with my 8 year old son and he loved it. He said he felt so much at home. Amazing friendly team. Value for money. Will definitely be staying there when I go back to Cape Town.  

Very cozy

Nice location, just off Main Road with tons of restaurants and bars and the Cape Town vibe, and close to many attractions but pricey for the offering - continental breakfast is a sparse fruit salad, bread rolls, limited cheese slices, some cold meats and dry cereals with small yoghurt tubs or cow's milk...paltry for omnivores and almost nothing for vegans; no satellite TV and 1 of the 4 local channels did not work in my room - despite reporting it was not fixed; had to request ice, black tea, iron, hairdryer and for the dust to be cleaned out of the fan vents; wifi a bit spotty; only one corner window in the room so light wasn't great; wall paint untidy...a lot to be desired. Nice that shampoo and bodywash in bathroom were organic, vegan and local - a first for me! Ren the dog is a sweet pleasure though, she is a quiet, sweet ambassador for the place! Airbnb much better for cheaper in this area, else venture out into suburbs like Pinelands for lovely plush guesthouses for the same price.  

Needs upkeep 

We went down to Cape Town for the Sevens and booked three rooms. It is perfectly located and walking distance from the stadium and the waterfront. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast in the mornings in the little sunroom area. There is no cooked breakfast but it was a nice change-up from the normal hotel routine. The rolls are amazing, please keep doing that! All in all the perfect stay-over for anyone visiting the Green Point area.
