The place is very nice with a nice pool and garden. Perfect to spent some time in the garden with very comfortable furniture. As the owner ist not living in the house and there is not always staff around, the check-In time should be agreed upfront. A bit difficult when you are traveling and don‘t have roaming or internet access.

Very nice location, perfect to relax

Wonderful,  warm hospitality in an incredibly well positioned home from home.  Extremely well looked after by our hosts who could not have been more friendly and welcoming.  Spotlessly clean and comfortable rooms and access to a simple but stylish lounge and living area,  all set out around the sparking swimming pool.

Lovely  Home From Home

Nice ending to our tour through South Africa. Beautiful accommodation with good breakfast. Simonette and Christine were super nice and helpful. Centrally located to explore Sommerset west, Stelenbosch and Franshoek. We will definitely come back again

Road trip through South Africa

Room was super cold and breakfast wasn’t served before 8 but location was very good and room was clean! Guesthouse felt isolated, location is really good at a very calm area but overall it wasn’t the best experience

You only get one chance to make a first impression, and our experience was nothing short of excellent, from the booking, the check in, stay and departure! Simonette and Elmarie were amazing, they are friendly, most helpful and pleasant to interact with. The early morning breakfast, prepared by these two friendly ladies, was delicious and more than enough for my Fiance and I. Although our stay was short it was truly a heartwarming experience and we will definetly be back.

Lovely Guesthouse and Hospitality

After 16 days of active touring our vacation ended at this beautiful and peaceful location.
We could not find a better place as this to relax a few more days. spacious apartments with a beautiful garden with pool. The owner puts the guest's experience first. Nothing is too much to ask for them. Thanks for the hospitality!

Jeder braucht was anderes, um sich wohl zu fühlen. Erwartungen sind individuell. In diesem Guesthouse bekommt man einfach alles, damit man gut ankommt, runterkommt und wieder durchstarten kann. Die Lage und die Bilder sprechen für sich, aber es sind die Besitzer, die es zu einer Wohlfühl-Oase machen. Wir waren zwei Wochen dort und kommen sicher wieder! Vielen Dank für einfach alles!

Everyone needs something different to feel comfortable. Expectations are individual. In this guesthouse you get just everything you need to arrive well, come down and restart again. The location itself and the pictures speak for themselves, but it's the owners who make it an oasis of well-being. We stayed there for two weeks and will come back for sure! Thank you simply for everything!

A place to feel like home

A very warm welcome and easy check in. Joane and Guy are insane hosts. The Guesthouse is perfectly located to discover the surroundings of Sommerset West and the hole Cape. We got great tailor made recommendations from our hosts, which you wouldn’t find in a guide. Great Vineyards are near by. We got a feeling about the local vibes and we loved it. The breakfast was delicious and fresh made from Joane and Guy. In addition we really enjoyed the private atmosphere in the garden at the pool with a nice panorama. But the very best thing was the arraigned bike tour with Guy. He knows the area around him and will have the right recommendation for you, if needed. We really got fresh new vibes from that journey. Just one word: extraordinary. :)

Super hosts - fresh vibes & good time!

We stayed at Explrer Guesthouse for 1 week and had a fantastic time. The Guesthouse is Beautiful in an excellent location, the rooms are very elegant and comfortable, and the hosts Joane and Guy are unbelievable. We immediately felt like at home there and enjoyed the week and the Cape Town area very, very much. We will definitely come back one day....also to taste Guy´s great wine.

We will never forget our wonderful trip to Cape Town thanks to Guy and Joane.
We stayed for a total of 8 nights over Xmas and it was just perfect.
The rooms are really comfortable, well decorated and with all amenities you need. The breakfast is also amazing and the perfect moment to plan the day with the support of Guy and Joane who knows all the good tips, things to do and visit.
We can only highly recommend to stay there, we will come back...that’s for sure.
