I Travelled for business. The rooms were clean & very comfortable beds. Good Service and great location to nearby restaurants in Somerset West.  Will definitely book at SomerZicht on my next business trip to Cape Town

Very nice guesthouse and host. The house is located in a quiet area and at the same time only 10 mins by car from the beach front in Strand. The rooms are exceptional tasteful and decorated with a loving hand. They were very clean and equipped with all the small things you need. I arrived unfortunately on a rainy day so the pool was no option. Breakfast is as well on my list for my next stay. The recommended restaurants for the evening and the morning were spot on. I will come back.

exceptional B&B

SomerZicht is a great place to stay in Somerset West with beautiful views of the mountains, close to great wine estates and good restaurants. The house is kept very clean. Host Andre looked after us very well.

Communication is key - that is what I received even before checking in I received a WhatsApp message asking me what time I will check in - Andre messaged me again to let me know he is running late his wife will assist, he came to check on me when he arrived. It was a short stay but it was great. thank you

I could not have asked for the better start to my vacation to SA ! SomerZicht is a hidden gem ! Tucked away in the residential estate hills but yet only minutes  away from
 the amenities . My room was spotlessly clean and the indoor + outdoor lounge is so so inviting ! It’s a great place too for morning walks with views towards the sea. Don’t miss sunning out in the outdoor lounge a bit and soak in the scenic mountain view. Thank you very much Andre / Matilda and “Preti” ( if I get her name right - the housekeep) for your first class hospitality ! 

A First Class Hidden Gem !!!!

Very friendly hosts who want to fullfill every wish.Perfectly clean and furnished very tastefull. The kitchen was equipped with everything that is necessary and even much more. Not to forget the good breakfast.Great pool

Great place to be

Our self catering accommodation was perfect for our needs, very comfortable and well appointed. The hosts were friendly and helpful.  A lovely pool and outside area to make use of. We would happily stay there again.

Lovely place

We throughly enjoyed our stay at SomerZicht.  it was the last couple of nights of a 3 week trip.  The location was close to family and local shopping/amenities while still providing wonderful vistas of the mountains.  We didn't prevail ourselves of all of the facilities but totally enjoyed meeting Andre and Matilda.  Their welcome was warm as was their hospitality - even during load shedding!  thank you! 

A Great Spot to Rest

Stunning property in a quiet neighborhood. We were greeted by the owner who showed us around.
The unit had everything we needed including fresh milk in the fridge. To me this is always an indication of someone who is proud of their place. 
The view from the room (1st floor) was just stunning. 
Will definitely stay here again.


Comfortable stay

DO NOT leave there without trying Andre's bacon & fried banana french toast croissant. Warm, welcoming hosts. spacious room, clean facilities, great views, and a braai facility. Thanks, Andre and Mathilda!
