Melite Rooms

The room that we were accommodated in was right on the stoep where all the hustle and buzz was happening. The host was very apologetic about the fact that they had 8 youngsters that stayed over - given this the kitchen was full of dirty dishes and not a place to visit or prepare something. Fortunately they were not the noisy bunch till late hours, however the curtains (there is none, it is more a blinder thing and some windows have none) in our room does not close in such a way that it blocks the bright light on the stoep from shining into the room whilst the youngsters where having their fun. This light made it very difficult to sleep and once this light was turned off the street lamp was shining through. I have photos to proof that there are gaps in the pattern of the windows so that people on the stoep can actually see into the room where we had to change clothes etc.! No privacy at all! The room has a bunker bed in right at the entrance door which makes it almost impossible to enter the room, it makes it impossible to switch on the lights in the room. When I complained about this the caretaker told me to move the bed so that I can switch on the lights. When I did this the exit door is totally blocked. He told me that I can use the door that exits on the stoep, the door can however not open because of the bunker bed in the room. They requested us to use the bucket in the shower to catch up water and use it for the toilet. This is, however, penny wise pound foolish as the shower does not have a cap that will result in using less water because of the spreading thereof and if they do switch on the geyser one will not use so much water to wait for it to get warm. My wife had to shower in ice cold water on a cold morning, I had to go without a shower as I cannot shower in cold water for personal reasons! I could not find the caretaker to address the problem, instead I send a message to the owner who was clearly not on the premisses which was only attended to after we have left. We were phone around 14:00 by the caretaker whom apologized and indicated that we would be hosted for free the next time that we visit their institution. I cannot concur with this suggestion as we do not foresee to be visiting the Cape within the next couples of years and

Good Day. 
I am a very unhappy first client of your organisation. I booked for a stay in Gordon's bay. It was probably a week in advance. On my way to the place I received a call at about 21:07, informing me that the Gordon's bay's rooms were fully booked, and that I must go to the alternative in Strand. I felt very disrespected and disappointed that I could not longer take my wife to the place I had promised her. You can imagine the disappointment on her face.  We decided to abort the trip and went back home.  I contacted your organisation via watsapp, and the person who uses this number promised me that my issue would be addressed.  I still have the watsapp conversation on my phone. More than a week later I haven't heard anything from you. I am very disappointed, and as a matter of principle I would like to be refunded my money back. I know R1380 is not a lot of money but I think as a matter of principle it must be paid back, and for the sake of your other future clients who may be discriminated as I was I am willing to engage a lawyer and the media to get recourse. Again I am disappointed, and the only I want is to be refunded my money back

We are three french travelling during 3 months. NEVER saw people and "backpacker" like that
The dormitory looks like a builder's flat, the manager woke up us because i didn't count correctly the money

Worst experience in Sa

We have stayed there for 2 weeks while relocating. The rooms were very nice, clean and affordable.  The shops and beach are a very short walk away. We feel it is great value for money. Clean beds with Scott and Mucha being very friendly. They always were friendly and helpful and offered us great service.  We made use of their local wine tours to the local wine farms. Really recommend this 1 stop holiday hub. Their scooter tours to the local real oxwagon tranks were also quite an experience
