Hosts Sonia and Titus were lovely. So friendly and gave us lots of advice on restaurants,places to visit etc. THeir property is amazing...so beautiful in a good location for Clarens centre.  Peaceful with gorgeous views for their balcony of the Mt Horeb.  Enjoyed sundowners there!  Staff and breakfast fabulous.

Sonia and Tinus are excellent hosts. They are helpful and even though they haven't been there very long they have a good knowledge of the activities and places to visit in the area. Breakfasts were good and well supervised. The room was spacious and comfortable. Well appointed with fridge, microwave and plates and cutlery. 

Marvellous view, excellent hosts

A fantastic place to stay, ask for the downstairs room, its private entrance and secluded location on the property make it the best room for couples looking for an escape. The Owners are hands on and welcoming. Will be back.

Great Escapes

We stayed at Mt Horeb Manor from 23rd to 27th December 2023.  Our stay was simply superb!  Our room at Mt Horeb was clean, comfortable and well maintained.  The house is so well furnished which makes you feel like you are at home whilst on holiday.  The garden is also so beautiful with the roses in full bloom and not to mention the apple and peach trees.  The mountain views are amazing and one can spend hours just soaking in the peace and tranquility of the surrounding views.  Our hosts, Sonia and Tinus were excellent and made sure we were made comfortable and enjoyed ourselves.  They were also so kind to wait up for us on the day of our arrival due to a personal emergency which resulted in us arriving at 10 pm.  Sonia and Tinus spent every morning with us at breakfast, chatting and interacting with all the guests.  Breakfast itself was delicious with the option of either an English breakfast or an omlette.  Both were equally good.  Sonia also told us about the surrounding places we could visit and advised us on the surrounding towns, safety of the roads and places we could get dinner.  And the added Christmas chocolates were a great personal touch.  I highly recommend Mt Horeb Manor - you won't go wrong!!

Sonia and Tinus are really lovely hosts,  they cared about all our needs. Our room was nice, perfectly cleaned up every day, the breakfast was excellent. We stayed 5 days, did some beautiful walks in Clarens, and Golden Gate Park. Talking with Sonia and Tinus was such an interesting and warm experience. We felt as family members. Thank You Sonia&Tinus

One of the really really good experiences

Nice little guesthouse with personal care from Mandy and Lauren. Lauren phoned us to make sure when we will arrive and made sure all was well prepared for our rooms. Bit out of the hustle of Clarens so nice if you want peace and quite. Nice breakfast included.

Wake up to stunning view

You will be very happy staying here. We had excellent accommodation with superb bedding and a wonderful room with all of life's comforts when away from home.
Everyday we had a great breakfast prepared for us by a wonderful hostess.
We loved it here and we will be back!

Perfect in every way!

My wife and I recently stayed over at Mt Horeb Manor for 2 nights during a visit to Clarens on our way back to Cape Town. From the moment we made our booking we were spoiled with hospitality and service by Ursula and her team. Our room was beautiful with the most stunning views over the mountains, visible from our very comfortable bed. Well located within walking distance from the town centre, ample secured parking was available on site for our vehicle and trailer. The spa bath in our room was a bonus to end the day in a warm and relaxing state.  Highly recommended. 

MORE THAN EXPECTED

The guesthouse owner is super gentle and does a delicious breakfast. She sent some nice restaurants recommendations that we haven’t seen on google before. 
The room is not warm enough :( including the bathroom. The bed has electric sheet and it’s good! 
Could be more clean around the bed and curtains, behind and below the furniture.
