Not much to say about East London, because it offers nothing to tourists, but this place has been perfect and cheap for a quick stop by for sleeping on our way to Coffee Bay. 
Clean and spacious accommodation.

Perfect for a quick stop

Had a lovely and pleasant stay. The rooms were neat, clean and spacious. Paul and his staff were very accommodating with our special Halaal dietary requirements, which we really appreciate. Paul’s hospitality and a telephone call 2 days after our stay were also much appreciated. Will definitely stay here again. Ahmed family

Pleasant stay

Spacious, neat and very clean rooms. Very comfortable with free wifi and full DSTV. Lovely garden and ample safe parking. The receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. This is an excellent value for money stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Easy and Comfortable

I recommend Smart Ville to anyone wanting a quiet, clean and comfortable stay. The rooms are spacious and the service is good.  This is my second stay and the value for money is very worth it. The ladies go out of their way to help with any of your needs.

Great Relaxing Stay Again

This was my first time at this guest house. I stay at many places in South Africa on business and this was very average compared to other places I stay. On the plus side - the hostess was accommodating with breakfast in terms serving my choice of breakfast with an early start and the large bed was comfortable. It also had secure parking in a safe location and a fridge. On the negative - it rained heavily both nights I stayed and there was clearly an issue with leaks and buckets were necessary to collect the water coming through the ceiling in the reception hall. There was also evidence of damp in the bathroom on the walls.  I had to ask for towels late at night as they had not been placed in the bathroom and the microwave (my highest priority need to cook my Woollies meals both nights) wasn't working properly and resulted in a just warm evening meal)
