Friendly and helpful service and advice from Marieta. Very good breakfast at 7am before departure. Comfortable, clean and well appointed room. Once the external maintenance is complete it will improve the appearance. I had a quick swim in the small swimming pool after a long day driving.

Stay over on way to Knysna

Great Lodge with superior rooms + family rooms. Lovely garden and plunge pool. Marieta, our Hostess was outstanding from the date of our booking. She SMS's us to enquire if they could prepare dinner for us - with a menu! With a curfew in place and having travelled for many hours, it was welcome offer! Dinner was delicious!  Comfortable large beds and all amenities available

Pleasurable stay

What an oasis!

My sister and I spent a night at Desert Inn whilst traveling from Cape Town to Elliot. It was an amazing stay, one night was not enough beautiful we absolutely loved the place. Our room was perfect, we were very impressed.

One night at Desert Inn

Comfortable stay at Desert Inn.  Lovely friendly staff, really enjoyed the buffet breakfast. The facilities were clean and well kept, pretty garden and the dining area was exquisite.  Our room was comfortable for 2 people, air conditioning most welcome after a long hot trip.  Just the lighting outside our room too bright, made the room too light.  

Comfortable and relaxed stay at Desert Inn

Thank you Francis for treating my Mother and myself as family.  We just rocked up at the reception and asked for a room.  Francis accommodated us immediately.  We had vehicle trouble and had to overnight in Middelburg.  We will never sleep anywhere else when there.

The rooms are large and comfortable.  Bed and cushions are perfect.  Slept like a baby.  Everything is clean.  They offer outdoor seating and a swimming pool.  

Breakfast was filling, served warm and as requested.  Worth every cent spent.  

Like Home

We booked here 2 hours bfore arrival and what a wonderful surprise.  We were welcomed like family.  Owner is warm and friendly.  Our room was warm and very comfortably.  Was great to be able to take a hot bath after a day of travelling.  Breakfast was fresh and delicious.  Don't drive through Middelburg without making Desert Inn your overnight place to rest, its really worth your while to stay overnight.  We will be visiting again.  That's a promise.

Peaceful and enjoyable stay.  Neat and clean.  Small rooms but everything you might need for a sleepover.  Surprise to discover this nice place close to everything you need.  Friendly staff and very helpful.

Nice place to stay!

The rooms are big and the value very good. It is however once you open the gate and enter the backyard that you know you have reached an oasis. With enough space and cool trees and neat garden all is pleasant. There is a kids play area, swimming pool, fire pit, two braai areas and nice seating. This place is highly recommended for short and long stays.
