We stayed in Pinotage Cottage and it was lovely with views over the vineyard at the back and horses in the paddock out the front.  Jonathan who was looking after us is amazing.  My daughter and I went for early morning horseride around the property with even more stunning views.

Great place to stay

We booked a cottage at Courchevel for the weekend of 2-4 February 2024, and we stayed in the Courchevel Cottage the evening of 2 February 2024.

Due to the storm in Franschhoek, it affected the electricity at Courchevel and we were without electricity from 4am Saturday morning.

Saturday morning just before 7am, we called Jonathan to ask him if he was aware of the situation and he updated us then on what the issue was. He advised he had to phone management to get permission to use the generator, which only ran from 8am - 10am that day.

We left for lunch around 10:30 and when we arrived back at the cottage at 2pm, we were still without electricity and the generator was not switched on again since it was put off at 10am that morning.

In total, we were without electricity for 8 hours that day and due to this, the fridge was no longer able to keep the groceries we bought cold and many of the items went off.

I called Coenie that same day just after 2pm to let him know that due to the below, we will not be staying the second evening and requested a refund for the second night and he advised he would update you (Nicole) of this accordingly so that you can process the refund as requested -

Lack of communication from Courchevel's side regarding the issue
No plan of action/alternative options offered
No electricity for up to 8 hours in total
Advertised as a self-catering unit, but due to no electricity, we were not able to keep our food cold and many items we bought went off, and we were not able to cook anything as the appliances were not working. Please keep in mind, we were experiencing 35 degrees plus weather temperatures over that weekend
There was a generator available which could have been used to assist all the guests with electricity, however this was not used unless we contacted someone at Courchevel, and it was only used for 2 of the 10 hours we experienced electricity issues.
We were not promised what was advertised
Up to date, no one from Courchevel has contacted us.

When we contacted the property, their reply to us was disgusting, to say the least. 

I will never recommend this place to anyone, not even my worst enemy, just because of how unprofessional the owners treat their guests.

Poor customer relations

Lovely little cottage. It was well equipped and nicely furnished. It was very peaceful with beautiful views and the staff were super friendly and helpful.

Would highly recommend staying here, I’ll definitely be returning in the future.

Fantastic Stay

Can't choose "0" so had to select "1". WAY below standard for the price. Having supported them for years this does not come from nowhere.
We've supported them for years and it was shocking!!!
A case of a good view and very sub-standard accomodation.
Totally not worth the price.
No working lights to braai.
Dirty cutlery and crockery.
In fact, it doesn't seem as if anything has been touched for at least 5 years.
Dirty. Sub-standard an WAY overpriced for what you get.
We travel a lot in CT and despite supporting this for years. We will never be back ever again. 
We have given management every opportunity to respond about experience and yet nothing.

Way below standard! Shocking for the price.

Beautiful cottage with breathtaking views! Wood fired hot tub and a swimming pool add to the perfection of this place. The hosts are superb and really look after their guests extremely well. Highly recommended, would definitely visit again!

Stunning location. Country living at its BEST!
Beautiful scenery, views spectacular. 
Pity it rained the whole time, but we will definitely be back soon to enjoy the farm/horses/outdoor hot tub etc. And so conveniently close to the centre of town! FABULOUS!

Country holiday

Very rustic and extremely basic accommodation, decorated on a shoestring budget. Not well insulated and therefore freezing cold at night, and the tin roof very noisy when it rains. In need of some TLC in places and could do with toilet/bathroom doors. 

Location is lovely for the gorgeous views but there is not much there if you want to be able to access restaurants etc.

Not suitable for all people due to the basic setup. I would not stay again.

Rustic, basic, and not for everyone 

The unit was lovely and clean. Was our daughters 18th getaway with a friend, and they loved the Hot Tub. Lovely open spaces and walks to go on. The REAL bonus was that we could take our beloved dog with us and the host is really friendly and accommodating. Thank you

Wonderful Family Getaway

Spent 2 nights in this lovely cottage.  Hosts had really made an effort to give the place its own style.  Everything worked very well (unless there was loadshedding!)  Excellent location and lovely to drive next to vines, see horses and have such a wonderful view of the mountains.  Sunsets and Stars at night were spectacular.  It was very windy while we were there, but nothing hosts could do about that!

Recommend Courchevel - Fabulous Scenery and Location

I have no words how beautiful it was.
Amazing views on Franschhoek, fantastic surroundings and great cottage.
One of the best accommodations I have ever been.
The whole family enjoyed it very much and we recommend it to all who would like to have something exceptional.
