The perfect self catering spot for exploring the Panorama Route! Nestled in Graskop it is well located for visiting all the waterfalls, God’s Window, Three Rondavels and many more!

My suggestion would be doing two day trips from Rustique:
Day 1 - Pinnacle Rock, God’s Window, Lisbon Falls, Berlin Falls, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, Loweveld Viewpoint, Three Rondavels.
Day 2 -MacMac Falls, and Pelgrims Rest.

Ps. Make sure you have enough cash for this trip as each of these attractions has entrance of anything between R16 (waterfalls) and R60 (potholes) for locals. International guests pay a little more!

Pss. The Blyde River Canyon Forever Resort also has a nice little hike with great views (R60 per person). We unfortunately didn’t get to that!

The @graskopgorgeliftco lift is apparently also a must, unfortunately there was protest in town and we were unable to go! Next time 🤪

Fantastic!

We showed up at 5pm without a reservation (a planning mistake on our part) and Lucinda welcomed us with open arms and a big smile. 

The property is lovely, clearly a labor of love for Lucinda and her husband, and the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. 

Within ten minutes we already had a table booked for dinner at a great restaurant in walking distance, and our short stay couldn't have been more perfect.

Lovely people, lovely property

It was our first night in South Africa. We traveled from Johannesburg to the Blyde river canyon. Before visiting this magnificent natural monument we stayed at the Rustique where we felt like at home. The owner helped us a lot by giving us advice both on the itinerary to do the next day and in choosing the best restaurant to eat.

A refuge in the mountains

Beautiful stay, ideally located when doing Panorama route, with lots of green and domestic rabbits hopping around. Wonderful breakfast too. But the thing I like most were the friendly owners. They took such good care of us and were incredibly helpful when we needed advise or help. I would def recommend this place!

Lovely stay, run by friendly family

We stayed only one night at Rustique but absolutely loved it there. The rooms are very nicely decorated with lots of little cute details and Lucinda is such a sweetheart. She will do her utmost to make you feel completely at home. She serves a delicious breakfast and she can tell you everything you need to know about things to do in that area and about the Panoramic route which is really close by. The day we arrived, we were involved in quite a scary situation and Lucinda was able to make us feel relaxt and confident again and she was just very sweet and caring, which was exactly what we needed at that moment!

Lovely place to stay!

Very warm welcome from the host and a great place to stay, very cosy room. Also suitable for 1 night. Good breakfast as well. Definitely a recommendation when you're looking for something in Graskop..

Perfect place in Graskop

The Rustique is a very nice and cozy hotel in Graskop. As the name suggests, its design is rustic but our room was very comfortable, and so was the bed. The owners are extremely friendly and gave us good advice for where to eat at lunch and dinner and for what to see on the long way through the Blyde River Canyon. A place to feel at home.

We stayed in Rustique for 3 nights and we are not disappointed. I can only tell positive things about this place and the owner! The interior design of the room is great! The room is big and clean, it even has a rain shower! The owner is so friendly. She has great energy. Try the cooked breakfast! If you come to Graskop, Rustique is the place to be! (Close to Blyde River Canyon and Kruger)

Lovely place. Place to be!

A really cute place with a lot of bunny's running around in the yard. The room itself is like the places name rustic but has a certain magic to it. It gives a warm feeling of comfort and ease after a long day on the road. Has a parking right in front of the room. Only thing that was strange that bathroom had no door, just a curtain but maybe it corresponds with the rustic nature of the place. Also the town is a passageway to some of the nicest places in the area.

Realy is Rustic

I booked at Rustique for my birthday celebrations with my friend. On arrival was met with very cold reception,  no greeting whatsoever. The place was dirty, smelly. We stayed elsewhere. Owners rude and refuse to refund me.
