The people are very friendly and helpful, clean and professional. It is our 4th stay as a family and it just becomes better every time. They made us feel like we are family. The Food was freshly prepared and delicious. We were treated extremely good and a pleasant stay.

Best pearl in middle of nowhere👍

A great apartment in a beautiful city.  It is in a very good central location, very clean and modern.  The bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds and the showers are very good too.  The living/kitchen area is compact but has everything you need.  Only has a sofa for 2, and a dining table for 4 - we were out all the time so no problem to us.  Nice roof terrace and pool area although we didn't use it.  Our apartment was quiet but all windows faced into the internal courtyard area (not onto street).

Great location to explore Seville.  Clean, modern and comfortable.  Would recommend.

This hotel is an old building that has been given a quirky and stylish makeover. The staff were exceptionally friendly - the host Louis in particular. Dinner at the hotel was very good. Hanover is a place where only an overnight stop is needed, but this hotel provided a very good place to do this and was good value. The hotel could do with some TLC but this did not detract from its charms.

A good stop on the Cape Town-Johannesburg route

We were in transit to Cape Town and spent a night at Hanover lodge hotel. It looks very unassuming in the middle of the small town in the Karoo. 
Kyle checked us in and was pleasant , a perfect host always with a smile. The supper was good value for money and was wholesome and sumptuous. Luther,the chef grilled the chops to perfection and presented our meal beautifully. Charity, the very efficient waitress was attentive without being intrusive.

Excellent

The hotel is very quirky.  Beautiful creaky wooden floors, edgy decor and black walls.  The beds are very comfortable and service is good.  They just are unable to boil an egg.  Literally unable to boil an egg.  We left after 40 minutes of ordering a hard boiled egg for breakfast... my husband had eaten his full English and I was still waiting for one hard boiled egg.  Seems they need an egg boiler as doing them in a saucepan or the kettle doesn't work ( I'm glad I didnt ask for tea from the kettle if that's how they think eggs are boiled), it's a good spot to stop between Johannesburg and Cape town as long as you dont want hard boiled eggs.

We spent the late morning and afternoon / early evening at the Hanover Hotel.  What an OASIS is the Karoo !!  We were offered secure parking on the premises, and after enjoying a late breakfast, we walked through the town - enjoyed taking photos of many of the historical buildings.  The friendly service of Miranda, Jacques and Renaldo was excellent. Chef Maphosa's dishes were superb. 

The Hanover Luxury Hotel - an oasis in the Karoo

Booked one night stop over in Hanover Lodge, unfortunately it was not a good experience, to say the least, room was not clean, door couldn't be locked from inside, traffic noise meant we got a bad night's sleep, shower head and lamp had to be requested, the douvet cover was torn, room smelled of cigarettes, no air con, fridge or T.V.  Truly the worst place I have ever stayed over.

Our room was large, clean and comfortable,  the staff are friendly and helpful and the food is excellent.
It's a very quiet place to rest from a long drive, and you never have to leave the hotel. Clearly a lot of work has gone into keeping a very old building ship-shape. 
This is a real oasis in the middle of nowhere. 
We will certainly be back!

Charming and quaint

This place has eclectic decor and character but one needs to calibrate expectations. It is just a local pub with ice cold beers, basic wines and a narrow menu. But what more could you ask for in the middle of the Karoo. The service was excellent, though, and we spent a pleasant afternoon kicking the dust off our boots from Johannesburg. Memorable. We cannot comment on the hotel because we only visited the pub/ restaurant.

Adequate Small Town Pub

We were forced to have supper here as they were the only open restaurant on a Sunday in hanover. The lady at the front desk was scary as she "welcomed" us but her unfriendly look abd the weird decor should have told us to go to bed hungry sbd save R350. We grabbed our drinks at the bar and sat between the bar and wall with the weird stuff. The unfriendly lady and a young girl passed us about 20 times before we got the courage to say we were ready to order. We ordered the 360g A grade Karoo lamb chops & 400g grilled pork chops. I was so excited when asked how I wanted my lamb. After a very very long time our order arrived. The mash and coleslaw with the dry thin cold pork chops were warm. My lamb was fatty , cold, and crisply overdone served with beans and pumpkin. We asked that all our chops were warmed and for cold coleslaw. Our waiter was very apologetic but returned warm chops that were terriblly dry and tasteless. All the veg were lumpy and looked like they'd stood over in the plates for days. Theres no way any one of our chops weighed more than 120g and that lamb was not karoo lamb. What a rip off. And what a disappointment.
