Location perfect. Chalets well looked after. Overall clean and neat.
Only two concerns: 
- Old cooking oil stains on back of bread bin
- a Couple of plastic bottles and candy wraps in yard around the chalet.
Otherwise everything was perfect, and you will see me again!

Excellent stay

Thank you for the opportunity to stay at your Cottage. We were not able to enjoy it to the fullest as we arrived very late and left very early the next morning, but we enjoyed our stay and will visit you again in the future.

The absolute best

Nothing was too much trouble fir Ryan to make our stay as comfortable as possible! The staff are friendly and everything is neat and very clean. We will definetly be back and advice friends to visit Mackers!

Excellent

This is by far the worst experience I have ever had. On arrival, which was after 4pm, the gardener was just dispensing of the dustbin which I believe had rotten food or something and we had that smell throughout our stay. It was so hot when we arrived that when we enquired about the pool, Ryan the owner rudely advised that the pool was only available for the tent accommodation and not the cottages that we had booked. This was disappointing because its not stated on the website. The braai stands were all falling apart. The hot water is controlled by gas according to the owner but the water would just switch to cold in an instance while in the shower.     Except for the spiderwebs all over the cottages were neat

Not the best!

No service at all,
No one came to welcome us nor checked that we good or offered any service if we needed Something.
Owner was rude as we wanted to go swim and told us the pool aint ours. And didnt wanna give out any details of who to contact if we wanted to use the pool.
our cottages were not cleaned towels not changed it was a mess.
Im glad we didnt spent much time there and definitely wont be visiting that place and im not recommending it to anyone.

terrible servce

What a stay, I wish we could've stayed longer. Just had a small issue with the shower but was fixed ASAP so no complaints. Will be visiting again. The place is quiet. You can hear the river from the braai. Place to make a nice bon fire. Don't need to go to town if you forgot wood, charcoal or firelighters as it is sold there. Had much fun on the steep road from/to the river.

Quiet and relaxing

The property is very peaceful and quiet. Beautiful scenery and neat cottages. We enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again. Will try the Glamping Tents next time. It looks amazing! It is close to all major attractions in the lowveld area including the Kruger National Park.

Peace and Quiet

We enjoyed everything about this property, and the host was very kind and friendly. Everything was clean and comfortable and well-equipped. We opted for the cook-your-own breakfast and dinner and these were great. We enjoyed the hike down to the river and we made use of the cute honesty shop. I've noticed some people complaining about the road down to the cottages, which really isn't an issue, as we rode up and down it in a little Suzuki Celerio with 4 people inside. People may also complain that there's no TV or cell-phone reception down there, but that's why one chooses to stay in the bush, and not in some busy city. I also loved seeing the many wild Kiaat trees on the property!

Perfectly suited us, we had a great stay.

Clean, tidy comfortable cottages. Contains everything you would need for a very short visit. Sleeper couch in lounge not to comfortable. Linen was clean and fresh. Driving down that road at night for the first time was a little scary, but during day time, no problem
