What a wonderful place to stay. We loved everything, from the beds, bathrooms, huge indoor fireplace, location, cleanliness, etc! Perfect for accessing Grootvadersbosch and Boosmasbos. Aileen and her staff are all amazing and we will defiinitely return to Strawberry Hill Farm.

Forest Lodge

Just step out of the house and enjoy hikes in the Nature Reserve or take your bike for some advanced and well built Cross Country and single trails. It's all there. At night you really feel surrounded by nature.  There is no wifi available which is a blessing. Love it!

Nature is calling

Clean and tidy. Great location. Staff were friendly and accessible.
Not load shedding friendly (we had 5 hours of no power one day) - suggest rechargeable lights and a small gas cooker so guests can at least boil some water.
Comforts like rugs and cushions removed (apparently due to Covid) so not as cosy as the pictures. We were glad we packed our own extra blankets. 
A beautiful location to take a break and enjoy nature. 


Great location

What a wonderful time we had 5 star accommodation would recommend it anytime to anyone. Kitchen very well equipped and braai facilities fantastic. Loved the big and spacious rooms and clean white linen.

Great stay

We spent 2 nights here while on the Cross Cape Cycle route. The location is simply spectacular with the most amazing 360 views. We stayed in the main house and the bedrooms were large and comfortable with a great open plan kitchen/living area. We'll definitely be back to spend a lot more time and explore more of the cycle trails in the area. Fireplaces kept us very warm although it was cold outside.

Stunning location and accommodation

I would recommend Jenny's Cottage any time. Ideal for 2 or 3 people. Nice and clean. Cottage is well equipped. Aileen, the friendly host met us at the cottage and made sure we are sorted. It was a wonderful trip.

Jenny's Cottage

While quite a drive from Cape Town, it's immediately clear upon arrival why it's worth it. The facilities, location, view and overall experience are world-class, and come at incredibly good value for money. Highly, highly recommended.

Shangri-La in the Heidelberg

The house has great views and is very livable. The beds are very comfortable and bathrooms are very spacious with lovely RAIN products. It really is a very bike friendly place and the fact that we could wash our bikes and our clothes was great. The outdoor furniture is a bit awkward as the chairs are very low to the table but we just took some of the indoor furniture outside and had a lovely meal on the terrace. Aileen is extremely helpful and very responsive. Would definitely recommend this place for a group of friends cycling through or spending a few nights to explore the area.

Lovely place

I am a tour operator based in Cape Town specialized into outdoor type of adventure like mountain biking.We came to Strawberry farm to see if we could offer a mountain bike tour using their accomodation and mtb trail around.They have it all perfect location and accomodation with all the comfort and more needed situated in a beautiful nature reserve.Friendliness and hospitality from the owner Ailleen who took us around some of the mtb trail in the valley.We will definitely come back and bring our guest around.Thank you

Fantastic

A spotlessly clean, all new home. The book that the owner made about the history of the farm and all the things to do and places to  see is an absolute must to read. This place is a mountainbiker's dream home to stay over. The Jenny Lodge had organic body wash, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and bath salt.....it made me feel like a queen using it. The view from each and every window is spectacular. The roads are all gravel but are well maintained. I can 100% recommend this place!!
