Beds are not comfortable, they are stiff. Shower room and toilets are very small.
Menu especially for supper is very limited. 
I once had a non working heater in my room and it was cold. 
I also had people gaining access into my room to check in while i was sleeping,  i spoke to reception and they couldn't explain what happened and how.
Staff is good though, they are friendly. 

A little above average 

Conveniently located, 5 min from FNB stadium where we needed to be for the Ride Joburg 947 Cycle Race. The place was clean, safe, quiet and the staff was friendly.
The lodge was also close to the mall.

Everything was so excellent,room was clean and warm,staff was more than friendly,safety for us and our vehicle was very high,I would highly recommend it to anyone who visits South Africa anytime......

There was lots of noise throughout the night, we could bearly sleep. We complained to the assistant manager and he was very rude, he dropped a phone on us. we had to check out at 2 am. the guy who was staying in a room opposite us, had his door open, talking loud on the phone, drinking alcohol. There were lots of students making noise throughout the night in the corridors. no one reprimanded them! i wasted my money!!!

Excellent 👌👌 service

I'm not sure if the smoke detector in the hotel was working, because there was a strong smell of smoke coming in through the extractor fan in my room. The room itself was spotlessly clean and the fact that the window opens on such a wide angle allows plenty of fresh air to come in. Security at the gate was stern yet courteous and this made me feel safer, especially with the company car parked outside.

Stayed over with a colleague

Visitors were in the hallways without masks alcohol was being consumed in the walkways fights were breaking out so we left and a full refund was approved.i would not recommend staying at the road lodge as the staff themselves said that this happens very very often.

I experienced unbelievable friendly service. Reception(Mpho)noticed that I paid for 2 breakfast’s instead of 1, and offered to reimburse me. Everyone, kitchen staff, cleaners greeted me. Rooms are very clean and new. I had a good experience!!!

Brilliant!!!

Bad service ever experienced. Toilet was blocked, there were not bathroom towels and bath amenities. TV was not working. All issues were reported but no one bothered to fix them. I don't think I'll go back soon

Started an overland South Africa trip with a night here. More motel than lodge or hotel but functional. Room small, dark but functional. 
Breakfast is very small selection, pastries, cereal and coffee but all you need.
