Rates suited ones budget, received all relevant information upon booking, admin waited upon arrival and assisted with booking, travel arrangements were made by admin , found the experience very pleasant, thank you Pilot Inn

Location is close to the airport and costs much much less than R100 to UBER to the airport. 
Noise in the rooms is so limited you would think you are in some guests farm our there in the bushes. Goodnight sweet sleep guaranteed.

Only 4km from Johannesburg airport, ideal if (like me) your flight arrives late at night and you just want to get some sleep before striking out on your holiday.  Basic accommodation that reflects the price and a friendly host.  Wifi kept dropping out.  Safe parking behind security gates.

It was a comfortable and cheap stay just outside the airport. The room was spacious, clean and had its own bathroom. Wifi was very good and for a fee you could get a ride both to and from the airport.

The couple managing the place were super friendly and made me feel at home. 

Good for a 1 night stay en route to or from the airport.

Good value for money

 Upon arriving , in that room the toilet was not properly cleaned, the wardrobe not dusted I had to ask the management to  bring a cloth. the shower  door glass was dirty .No wi fi, (I was told the network was  interupted  for the whole week I did not use their wi fi).  Water was lukewarm and imagine it is winter when you open the shower tap, the moment that water arrive to your body its already cold but maybe they keep lukewarm in order to save their electricity.
As per their rule you are required to vacate their premises at 9 to allow for cleaning. I asked for permission to vacate at 10 because my flight was at 15h00, they refused at 8;56 they knock at the room very loud to a point I was terrified by the knocking  apparently they thought I was still sleeping but I am assuming since I asked to vacate at 10 maybe they were thinking that I am not following their order to leave their place  at 9.  how would you say that a guest should leave at 9 to allow for cleaning but when she arrived the room was not properly cleaned and yet when she asked to leave at 10 YOU ARE REFUSING. That was my experience at Pilot in I AM TELLING AS IT , NOT FABRICATING STORIES.

MY EXPERIENCE,

1. Deceit: I had asked in an email if there was room heater, I got a reply saying no, that instead there's a central heater. I asked when I got to the Inn, the man didn't answer. Deceit. 

2. Then unfortunately I had mistakenly thought check out time was 10am, thanks to reviewing different properties. Some minutes to 9am while still asleep, man came to knock, we were informed that we needed to leave at 9am. At 1min past 9am, the man started screaming at us and threatening us if we didn't leave immediately. I told him we were leaving already as bags were packed and we would just bring them out soon. We were thrown out into the dangerous streets of Joburg. It was a most unpleasant experience. 

I don't have much lodging experience, but I know businesses try to provide a reasonably pleasant experience for their customers. Be ready for such experience when you lodge here. It's fine to say truthfully you don't have a heater than deceive, raise one's hope and crash it. I had difficulty sleeping because I didn't prepare for the cold. 

It's also fine to calmly show your customer that they are wrong about something as well as tell them the consequences of not obliging. 

As for me and my household, we will never make the mistake of lodging here again.

Unpleasant experience at Pilot Inn

The guy never respected my privacy, had a very bad attitude, they used racist words like addressing me as 'you people'😒. They never cleaned the room, it very dusty with very old mat. No wifi was available

Room was decent but the service and hospitality is atrocious. Rude and inflexible host.
Wifi logsout every 5mins. 

Better to pay slightly more for better service. Worst accomdation experience.
