We've just returned from the most amazing three night trip to Nkula. It was beyond expectations. 
The camp was gorgeous and we spent our time in between walks watching birds under the Natal Mahogany. The accommodation was very comfortable. One of the highlights was showering under the stars while being serenaded by the nocturnal animal sounds. The food was delicious. We were very well catered for as vegans. 
The camp staff were attentive, friendly and always ready to help with a smile. Brent and Jan, who were our guides, were brilliant, incredibly knowledgeable, and good fun. Our walks with them blew us away with their confident guiding and the spectacular scenery. 
The entire experience was immersive and peaceful. We can't wait to return!

What a privilege to be able to walk in this pristine wilderness. Excellent in all respects Already planning our next trip. 

Parfuri Perfection

Wow! We've just completed a 3 day walking safari with ReturnAfrica Pafuri and it was amazing! 
The setting is exquisite in the heart of the bush close to the levuvu river. 
The tents were so much nicer than I expected- I thought they'd be basic but they are spacious, the beds are comfy and the linen new and fresh, the bathroom was exceptional for a bush camp with a flushing toilet a basin and jug of water topped up regularly for hand washing. There is an outdoor bucket shower with plenty of hot water- a really fun and pleasant experience. 
The staff are friendly and accomodating and take such pride in everything that they do. Nothing is too much trouble. 
Our guides - Cyril and Mike- were passionate about the history of the Makuleke conservancy and people. They were knowledgeable and entertaining and went out of their way to accomodate all of the needs of our big group tailoring our experience for us. I felt absolutely safe traversing big 5 country on foot with them in charge.
The food was some of the best I've had on any bush get away. How they prepare such scrumptious meals in their small bush kitchen I don't know! 
I can't wait to go back!!

Bucket list adventure!

The most wonderful way to experience the nature of the Kruger Park.  Seven friends spent three days walking in the area.  Accommodation is basic, but comfortable. Manual outdoor showers add to the nature experience. 

Guides were excellent. Food good. The walk down the Lanner Gorge unforgettable. 

Although large game (like lions) were absent, it was more than made up by the outstanding sighting of birds.

The best bush experience you can get

We stayed at Nkule tented camp in July. Amazing environment, very diverse vegetation. Walks are informative, entertaining and eye-popping at times. We saw a great variety of game and birds both on the walks as on the drives. Guides Bruce and Rhodes were amazing: very knowledgeable, guest-orientated and entertaining.  The tents are well-equipped, very clean and the outdoor showers a welcome refreshment after the walks.  Food is good: plentiful and varied. This was our third time at this camp and it never ceases to amaze us. We might come back a fourth time... See you Nkule!

Wonderful trail

We had the most incredible time in Pafuri. Walking in Pafuri with Rhodes Bezuidenhout from Shangani trails and Bruce Arnott, it was a bucket list experience - they are the most incredible guides with the such phenomenal knowledge on wildlife and birds. Rhodes and Bruce were so professional and you couldn’t be in a safer set of hands in big 5 territory. A walking trail is such a unique way of experiencing the bush and the luxury accommodation, food and ambience in camp was beyond expectations. This was our second time on a walking safari in Pafuri and we will be back - thank you Rhodes and Bruce!

Exceptional trail walking experience in Pafuri

As a group of 8 friends, the camp had their hands full for our four night stay. Another fantastic walking trail experience in Kruger. The area is so lush and green, unlike previous years, and a photographer's dream come true. The food and service was excellent, thanks to Wendy, Mavis and 'Delicious'. The camp and tents were kept meticulous at all times, despite the rain and mud. Our guides, Cyril and Serena, were fantastic! Cyril, with his knowledge of the wildlife and rich history of the area, kept us enthralled. Serena's bubbly nature, enthusiasm and love of birds, was a true highlight. We commend both Cyril and Serena for making our Easter bush experience so memorable. Can't wait to return.

Easter weekend with exceptional guides

It was an once in a life time experience! The fever forest and the boabab trees were amazing. 
The tent camp was well managed by a very capable team! Zane Du plooy and his team of rangers made the bush walks and rides the most amazing experience! Major and her team made the camp and the meals delightfull! Thanks for a 10/10 experience

Pafuri walking safaris a definite bucket list item!!

We spent 2 days at Pafurie walking trails camp and two nights in the Pafurie Lodge.  The trails camp offer morning and afternoon walks - this really is a diverse, beautiful and unspoilt corner of the world!! The guides are knowledgeable, calm and responsible and added greatly to an exceptional experience. We had unseasonable cold winds but even this did not detract.  The main lodge on the Levubu has indulgent tent-rooms each with its own balcony right on the riverbed.  Breakfast and dinner were delicious and deserve 10/10 but the high-tea with light salads should get a 11/10! Everything one could need is catered for but with a blissful lack of electronics - we really, really loved the unfettered bush experience.  thanks #returnafrica, we'd love to visit again!!
