Had the most memorable unforgettable stay at the African Game Lodge!! It was peaceful & far away and well worth the 30km drive on the dirt road to get there! A particular highlight for our family was the 4x4 "Game Drive" with Monwa who agreed to take our family on a "non-standard" drive to get us as close to the bushmen paintings as possible! Very knowledgeable, very kind and caring! Would highly recommend the African Game lodge as your escape from the city to reconnect with nature!

African Escape from your busy life

It is a magnificent place, far from the hectic world where man can reconnect with nature. You are in a completely pristine environment, in magnificent chalets with all the necessary comfort. It is also possible to go on a safari to take a closer look at the wild animals that live around. The swimming pool allows you to relax while contemplating its sublime landscapes. one important thing: no plane passes over this place, which reinforces the silence and strength of this place. the very attentive staff is there to meet all your needs. A place like our oldest ancestors must have lived!

A place out of time! A very rare place…

My family and I really enjoyed our few nights at African Game Lodge. The property is breathtakingly remote and incredibly beautiful. 
The staff were a particular delight to interact with. This is a well priced destination that is on the up and up. I'm sure they will see lot more of me in the future!

Nature Lovers Dream

We had the best stay at African Game Lodge. The rooms are spacious and neat, the pool was such a treat. Monwa took us on a beautiful game drive and told us all about the fauna and flora. Although there are no Big 5, this lodge makes up for it in its spectacular scenery, friendly staff and lovely scenery. The eland scattered across the horizon added to this beautiful stay. 

Magical stay - Klein Karoo at its best

As a family we had fun. The lodge was clean and tidy, had everything needed in the hut. Excellent services,and the staff was friendly. We checked in very late, but we were accommodated. I highly recommend it! 

Awesome time at African Game Lodge.

Do you want to experience an authentic stay in the South African bush? This is the place! Extremely secluded and in the wild, with a beautiful pool and common area. Monwa was there for everything we needed, plus, the whole place is off the grid (solar powered!) 10/10 recommend! 

Beautifully Wild!

We had a very good camping long weekend with our Enkulu2 offroad caravan. Bathroom and shady shelter was a huge plus. It is secluded and private. Had a wonderfull Sunday lunch that was speciaaly prepared for us.

Glamping

Nothing more to say - we loved every second. It was a special occasion mixed with a need for a private, restful getaway. 

All our expectations were met and more. The service from Monua and Ronald was also elite. 

We already enquired about another stay and have referred far and wide. 

Perfect stay

Pristine untouched African bushveld, created the most peaceful and relaxing environment possible! The sunsets combined with the stars gazing at night were just brilliant. The days were very hot at this time of the year. 

Off Grid Camping

We stayed at the Game Reserve over New Year and loved it! The location is amaaaazing and worth a long drive. We were a bit worried as it was a long drive in the mountain but the road is great for any vehicle and the views are to die for. Signs to the lodge every few kilometers so don't lose hope ;) The cottage we stayed at was great, greatly equipped, and super cool even without aircon. Clean and very comfortable. Also please remember they are off the grid - so bring your own power banks etc. There is no cell reception - only wifi at the main lodge - accessible to all the guests. The main appliances you can charge at the main lodge/lounge.

The facilities include an outdoor pool, putt-putt, Communal lounge with a TV and games, and a restaurant where you can order (if you don't want to go self-catering way) breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. The Chef is fantastic and his food is delicious! He probably thought we were joking but his Chicken Curry and Chicken Wings were by far the best we have ever had.  Hats off! (I need to get that recipe ;)) 

While on the reserve you can go for a hike, safari drive, or simply enjoy the nature around you. Some animals are roaming around and there is also a friendly ostrich who visits quite often. If you love nature bring your camera with you! 

It is peaceful! Perfect place to relax and unwind. Sunrises and sunsets are wow. 

It is amazing how owners created this ideal experience in the middle of nowhere - that now is something to experience. Totally worth a drive! 

We will definitely come back and this time for longer.
