The fan in Room 5 requires urgent repair !! Late night noise was a problem. Someone banging doors late at night. Room slightly too small. The refrigerator functions poorly. Not very cold at all. No ice. Stairs from road level to reception a serious problem. Extremely steep and a problemm for elderly people to carry luggage up and down those steps.

The reception service, breakfast service and general service was excellent

Ok first of all I didn’t really like the resort of Mossel Bay. Couple of nice beaches but nothing much else to recommend the area. The B and B, hmm the young girl Jamie gave us a good welcome and my room was ok with a nice view. It was like an old building that has been given a make up to a certain extent. Pool was small and had not been cleaned, BreaKfast was fine nothing that special. Sheets and towel had old washed stains on them. Really hard as it was ok but really nothing special. Didn’t like Mossel Bay and wouldn’t go back to resort or hotel but we had a couple of great meals in local restaurants see sep reports. 

Hard to Rate

We stayed for 2 nights on our honeymoon travels and were pleasantly amazed by every aspact of this place.  The room was great, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was beyond delicious. We will definitely return and absolutely recommend them to anyone. 

Excellent 

I recently came to Mossel Bay for a work trip. I stayed at the Edward Charles guesthouse. 
I really enjoyed my time here. The guesthouse was perfect for my needs and i could relax in the evening after a hard day of working. The staff were all very friendly and even allowed me to check out late on my last day. 
I will definitely stay here again on my next trip.

Long stay in November

We spent three nights at this lovely Guest House. The sea view room we requested was large and comfortable with a stunning view of the town and bay. The stairs to the second floor could be a challenge for some as well as slippery in the rain. A full breakfast is offered. Mariaan was a delightful hostess.This establishment is minutes away from the sea, the tourist attractions as well as the Malls. I recommend this establishment to anyone wanting a comfortable stay.

Fantastic stay

We went on a short family holiday last month and stopped over in Mossel Bay.
What a lovely guesthouse Edward Charles Manor was. The breakfast was amazing and the staff were all very helpful.
We wish we could have stayed a few days longer.

Stunning Accomodation

Really very happy staying there. Beautiful view from bedroom window. Neat and tidy. Excellent breakfast. Personel very friendly and helpful. We only find the parking a bit of problem to walk from side parking with luggage.

A lovely clean and centrally situated accommodation in a lovely historical coastal town on the famous Garden Route. Thank you for your meticluous care and service.The proximity to the lovely beaches which show good evidence of cultural diversity acceptance and which have a spirit of human consciousness that South Africa needs is wonderful to see. The staff were polite and professional and concerned about exceeding guest expectations. Well done Edward Charles- weshall return.

Edward Charles Manor was okay. Overall, the room was clean and average. The breakfast and the breakfast area were better than I anticipated. The location was okay; although, be prepared to climb some hills if you want to explore on foot. It's an economical choice. We only stayed one night as we were passing through Mossel Bay.
