Clean, nice and peaceful place to stay. 
I would definitely recommend this property for anyone traveling to Durban. 
Good location in a security village. it is very safe and quiet.

Stayed with my daughter for birthday weekend in the twin room.  Good food. With choice of eating indoor or out. Clean Room with air conditioning.  Friendly staff. Walking distance of town and free parking.

My family and I had lunch at Boar’s Head restaurant today 1/8/2021. My father ordered his Durban lamb curry which he enjoyed very much. My mom and I ordered the Open Salmon sandwich. We asked the waitress if the toasted seeded bread was fresh and she replied: Yes it is. To our disappointment when our sandwich arrived it was awful looking and actually disgusting to eat. The bread wasn’t even toasted enough and tasted old, the iceberg lettuce was almost on the old and soggy stage and somewhere on the piece of toast was a tablespoon of salmon with a half rosa tomato and a few capers. We scratched off the 
Tablespoon of salmon and capers. We ordered a side order of crispy chips and that’s what we had as a lunch. I don’t know who your manager was on the floor but we complained heavily about the way the sandwich was done and was un eatable and he asked if he can bring us anything so we said: No we don’t want anything else to eat because it will be even worse than what we had. I suggest you tell your new executive chef to go to LeParc at Tasha’s at Hyde Park shopping mall and see what a decent open salmon sandwich should look like and get more finesse on his food. Maybe use some micro herbs with cream cheese and use enough salmon. I think what is happening in the kitchen is that the chef was running out of salmon so all the leftover bits and bobs was used to make a sandwich. It is absolutely disgusting to send out food to your regular customers and that he doesn’t have the decency to make a tester for himself and taste it and he will realise that he cannot serve food like this. If anyone is reading this review please please please don’t order the open sandwiches because you will only be disappointed.

Very Very Very Disappointed and Horrible Open Salmon Sandwich

We stayed at the lodge for the second time last December and on both occasions with have had professional customer service and wonderful breakfasts. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable.  The bathrooms are modern and clean.

Mount Edgcombe Estate Lodge is an awesome place to stay. It is well equipped and very clean. The surroundings are magnificent and close to all major centres and attractions. Andrew was very friendly and helpful and made our short stay very pleasant.

Awesome Place

Very nice place to go visit. Peaceful and quiet. The only thing that we didn't like was they way we were welcomed, we agreed on arrival time and yes we didn't make it on time because of the traffic and the guy was grumpy but either than that everything was perfect.

Mount Edgecombe lodge is just lovely! We have been to Durban often on family trips and this is by far the best accommodation we have stayed in. So secure and clean. Close to everything and wildlife on the golf course too❤️

Had a great relaxing holiday.  Andrew was most accommodating.  We have booked to return.  Position of lodge overlooking golf course with impala and varied bird life was superb. A gem in Mount Edgecombe estate.

The lodge is in a great location on the secure complex with easy access to the clubhouse and pro-shop.The rooms and lounge are comfortable and beautifully decorated in bright colours that can only cheer you up when the golf, on the 2 lovely but tough courses, doesn't.
