check out was cut back to an hour which is on the website and the lady who knocked wasnt as polite ,felt short changed coz l needed my rest, aircon was noisy,and rigid bed mattress,no back up of electricity

Siesta Guest House is easily accessible and situated very close to the Spur, which is convenient for travelers. It is an ideal place to spend the night after a late crossing of the border for travelers from Zimbabwe.

The place is neat and the staff is very friendly. The place is also secure and close different  service areas. We had a great time, the Wi-Fi was a bit slow, the air conditioner was working perfectly fine

Enjoyed the stay

The rooms are clean and spacious.  The guesthouse is next to N1 so you get to hear each and every car and truck passing through.  My husband and I are light sleepers,  so we struggled to sleep. kid slept

One night at Siesta

The lodge itself is very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious with much needed air conditioning . It is just outside the town and is close to the Musina mall.  However, the lodge runs parallel to the highway, so it is extremely noisy!

Quick stay in Musina

I travelled for business and stayed for one night at Siesta Guest House. On arrival I was met by one of the cleaning staff. She said that they are fully booked. After a long explanation I convinced her that I do have a booking. She called the owner, he also could not find my booking and had to phone his wife. I did confirm my booking by e-mail twice. After a struggle, I received the key for room 1. Don't they have a book/resister or system that they keep reservations in? 

I have arranged for dinner and was told that it will be ready by 7. I went into the dining area and no one was available to tell me what food I can have from, I helped myself (hopefully I did not have someone else's food). The food did not meet my expectations for R150. 

I did not sleep well, the noise from the N1 highway was very disturbing and then the smell of the old warn out pillow was terrible. The shower have mildew and the shower head spraying all over. 

Breakfast was Pap and Wors for R80. I do not eat pap so I ask for eggs instead. The only had instant coffee with Sweat 'O drink. For the price I was charged for breakfast I could have had a much better breakfast at the Spur just 50 meters from Siesta and for half the price. 

After my breakfast I have ask the staff if I can get my bill. I tried to pay but the credit card machine was not functional, she also did not know how to sort the problem. She said that she cannot call the owners because they were still sleeping. I suggested that I will do an EFT and left. 

The owner suddenly phoned when I tried to exit the gate, she said in a rude manner that I will not leave without payment. I went back and her rude husband came out with a cigarette in his mouth to sort out the credit card machine. He verbally attacked me by telling me that I was rude to his wife. I told him that I will never stay with their guesthouse again. His reaction was that they have enough people staying there and that he will not miss my business. 

So this is also the reason for my long review. If this owner’s hospitality is like this they will also handle other guests like me. 

I would not, not, not recommend Siesta guesthouse!!!!

Poor service, never again!!!

Spacious air conditioned room set in beautiful surroundings with a swimming pool to cool off in. Located close to shops and walking distance from restaurant. Huge comfy beds ensure a good nights rest.

Cosy overnight stop

Fully equipped room ensures a comfortable stay in a relaxed atmosphere. We stayed here en route to the Kruger Park and would certainly recommend this Guest House. It is located close to shops so it was pretty easy to stock up for our trip to the Kruger Park.

Comfortable overnight stop

After a long day of traveling, lying down on a comfortable bed in a clean, beautiful and huge roomed lodge is good for the soul. Thatched lodges with a high ceiling, air con and fan to help with the sweltering heat that Musina often has. 
Definitely recommended.
