We have already booked our next stay in the Sneeuberg Nature Reserve, as it is an amazing place: stunning farmhouse accommodation in a picturesque, tranquil environment. Such friendly hosts as well - we were greeted late at night after we were delayed in getting there.

Karoo Cottage: highly recommended

Best place to unwind and enjoy more silence, peace and beauty than you imagined possible 

Excellent facilities and plush bedrooms. We loved the pool and the fire pit. Fresh baked bread was also a surprise treat

Total peaceful escapism

We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at the Poplars. There were 7 of us - plenty of space, lots of places to sit quietly or with the group, an interesting and rambling old house, a big kitchen, and great walks. Definitely to be visited again.

An unforgettable experience at the Karoo cottage. We were fortunate to see many different buck species and wildebeest while traveling along the gravel road to the cottage. The friendly staff and special touches made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed our morning breakfast on the stoep while looking out on the reserve. The unit is quite spacious and fully equipped, catering for all your needs. The avid Braai master will be happy with the large fireplace, utensils and wood provided. We loved our stay and especially enjoyed cooling off in the pool.

Cozy Karoo Cottage

Really amazing stay in ‘the cottage’ nearby the beautiful estate Gordonville. All necessities are available. The quietness and tons of stars in the evening are unreal. The (indoor) pool is a big bonus.

Tip; definitely order the evening meals which you can pick up at Gordonville. Fresh made with organic ingredients.
Stayed here 4 nights, just after x-mas, together with my wife and 2 daughters (12 and 14).

Little gem in the Karoo,  great place to relax

We spent the most wonderful weekend at Kliphuis on Sneeuberg Reserve. It is quite a drive to get there but 100% worth it, in the middle of nowhere. 
The house has every amenity that you need plus some. I expected to have no signal, so was pleasantly surprised by the Wi-Fi.

There is a gorgeous pool but unfortunately ait cold for us to swim. we took long walks and explored the area. I have nothing negative to say about this stunning home and will definitely be back.

We loved staying in this peaceful well equipped farmhouse.  We enjoyed the space and the wonderful fireplaces, comfortable beds and romantic bath.  Steeped in history with charm and grace.  It's a gem and we will be back!

Our three nights went too fast. Never have we experienced such tranquility and peacefulness. Yet with the comfort of knowing our hostess, a couple of kilometres away, will be in touch every day to see if all is fine. Many thanks for maintaining this beautiful building to allow people, looking to escape from the city, a place where they can rest.

Sneeuberg Nature Reserve is THE one place where you can just unwind, relax and forget about the the daily rat race! We stayed in the Gordonville Cottage and everything you need to recharge and refresh is there. Daron and her team went out of their way to make us feel welcome and care for and Daron's gentle way of enquiring and making sure that we find our way towards our destination, was especially appreciated as we were really off the beaten path. Nature is beautiful, the stars at night something to behold and little things like the complimentary picnic basket was a bonus - not to forget the undercover swimming pool and games room! Just make a plan, let it happen and get to Sneeuberg Nature Reserve - you won't regret it!
