Absolutely fabulous place to stay. Everything about this establishment was beyond our expectations. Comfortable, modern, clean and friendly. Antoinette was so friendly and helpful when she met us on our arrival. The apartment is in a lovely suburb of Oudtshoorn and not far from the main road into the town. I fully recommend staying here as you will not be disappointed.

Definately a place to stay when in Oudtshoorn!

A place I would never visit again. Property is advertised as having a pool under amenities but upon arrival was informed that we may not use the pool.
Aircons (which is a necessity in that heat) apparently cannot be switched on all day, electricity "tripped" quite a few times (affecting only aircons and kitchen). 
False advertising to pay for a place and then be told that certain things are excluded and when the aircons may be used. If I pay for amenities I expect to be able to use these things. 


Never again

A disappointment to say the least!

No access to the pool even though the ad clearly says there's a pool. We could hardly make use of air-conditioning as they were 'refurbished and break easily' as said by the owners, yet the ad clearly says there's air-conditioning. The electricity that continually "triped" when the air-cons were on.

The house was  extremely hot inside and outside and not being able to use the air-con for the entire day made this an extremely unpleasant stay.  

Its really fair towards customers when holiday accommodation is falsely advertised. 

We would have left the same day we got there!

After our first choice cancelled our stay in Oudtshoorn due to sale of the lodge we found this Guest House. The Owner seems to have moved to her garage and rents her house with 2 apartments. It is a cosy little retreat with a very friendly "landlord". We can truly recommend the Guest House.

BEAUTIFUL HOUSE!

I very much enjoy my stay at the hotel. There is also nice restaurant where you can get delicious food and wine! The room was clean and comfortable. The stuff there was very nice, thank you for everything.

Great stay and delicious dinner

First of all the rooms are beautiful. It is a lovely place to stay and the beds are comfortable. Unfortunately we received a very rushed welcome where we were only shown the rooms, very dry, and the owner rushed off as soon as possible. The ‘family suite’ is also not a room as expected, it’s the upper level of the house where other guests can see you sitting on the sofa when they enter the house.
The pool was not like in the picture. It is the size of a whirlpool and was very sandy. The air conditioning in the children’s room is broken, you can’t change any settings.
However I have to say that the breakfast was good. We were served by a lovely lady! 


Rushed Welcome/“Family Suite”

The Feathers Nest was clean, easy to find, and had a lovely hostess. We had the place to ourselves, which was a huge bonus. The accommodation was very suitable for family stays and small groups. Breakfast had hot and cold options, and was good.

Great Stay in Oudshoorn

What a wonderful breakaway for our family.  We felt really at home and the staff were absolutely amazing.  Close enough to all there is to see in Oudtshoorn - but in a quiet neighbourhood so family time could be spent in a special and relaxed way!!! If you are planning a trip to Oudsthoorn - I can highly recommend this accommodation - you will not be disappointed

Home away from home!!!

I will definitely recommend Feather Nest Guest house, and keep it in mind for future stays in Oudtshoorn, it is well located too, I wish we could have stayed longer. And thank you for the warm welcome.
