What a beautiful guesthouse! The rooms are decorated in a very tasteful fashion,  the lounge where the breakfast is served is stunning. We were treated to classical music and a breakfast to remember, served in beautiful crockery. Highly recommended!

Excellent host, stunning Guesthouse!

Very nice place to stay and spend some time on the terrace with a glass of wine. 
The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated and the breakfast was served with love. 

We had a good talk with the owner and he was super friendly!

would have given 5/5 if the bathroom had proper ventilation, no window and the fan was removed/broken. Will return and recommend, breakfast was 5/5, room was 5/5, owner friendly, location also 5/5, near everything and area peaceful.

clean supprise

On arrival we were greeted by several small barking dogs and struggled to work out where the door was but once we were greeted warmly by the host our first impressions changed.
The rooms are unusually under the garden so there are a lot of steps, no problem for us but some people may need to be aware. The rooms themselves are lovely, I can’t understand comments about them being small or not like the pictures as they were exactly as I expected from the photos. They even had a little patio area in front under a gorgeous vine with a further patio above.
The host was very attentive and brought us menus of local restaurants and even booked our tables and arranged transport for us.
Breakfast was delicious, this man really knows how to make scrambled eggs! He sat with us and chatted whilst we ate.
On the second evening we all shared a glass of wine on the terrace.
Sadly the terrible drought is taking its toll on Oudtshoorn so the host has had to empty the pool to water his beautiful garden and the view is somewhat marred by the dry vegetation but that cannot be helped. We did our bit by conserving shower water in a large bucket whilst there.
Unfortunately the WiFi doesn’t reach to the rooms only to the patio above, this was actually quite nice, I enjoyed reading my book instead!
This guest house has a great location and the rooms are separate from the house so feel lovely and secluded and the host really wants to make you feel at home so would definitely recommend (as long as you don’t mind friendly dogs!)

Characterful accommodations with beautiful views over the Swartberge. Host was very hospitable and friendly. Conversations around the breakfast table was one of the highlights of our stay. We will definitely be back in the future.                                                                         .

The property is set in beautiful gardens. The room was excellent, spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Morkel, the owner and host, was so friendly and helpful, full of useful recommendations. Really excellent B&B and wouldn't hesitate to rebook.

There was a very foul smell in the room, coming from outside the bathroom window. I am sure it could be addressed easily. It would be nice to have a bar fridge in the room. Morkel is a very pleasant host.

We had a very comfortable stay with a very attentive and friendly host. Delicious breakfast included. Morkel suggested super restaurants and we had two lovely meals out. Oudtshoorn is a gem. Thank you Morkel. 

The place was very run down and the exterior a bit messy. My room did not look anything like the pictures at all. I was very disappointed and decided to rather stay at another establishment and forfeit the money already paid to the establishment. 

Needs TLC!

Although Oudtshoorn is a relatively small town, we had some difficulty finding accommodation due to lack of signage. The guest house, which is not a hotel and has no suites, gave a satisfying impression from the outside, a well-maintained garden, 2 terraces from 2 floors and a quiet location outside the city. However, when we had to go up 20 steps to get to our room with our luggage, we faced the extreme heat of the sweat on our forehead.
