We stayed at Bahari Beach House from the 8th of January and at off-peak rates it was an excellent choice.

The location of the beach house close to Sanctuary Beach is excellent.  A short walk around the corner will get you to the beach.

We stayed in room number 4 and the layout allowed for the kitchen/living room to be separate from the bedroom.  Each room face onto the communal swimming pool area. The communal area has a beautiful succulent garden and lounge chairs are available next to the pool. There are also small tables with privacy screens.  Your privacy and peace when using the communal area will to some extend depend on the guests who stay at the beach house at the time of your visit. There is so much to do in Plet that it is unlikely that you will have to share the space often.

The unit had a decent sized fridge and the little kitchen is well equipped with microwave, sandwich maker, kettle, two plate gas stove, pots, pans, tupperware, and a coffee plunger.  We did not do much cooking since there are excellent restaurants in Plet.

The hosts, Brian and Kate, stay in the house above the rooms and are available if required.  They are quiet but friendly hosts.

The living room has a wall mounted flat screen television, a small table and a small couch. The soft furnishings, blinds, curtains, bedding and bath towels were all good quality.  A hairdryer is available in the bathroom.  The cupboard space is generous and we managed to settle in within 30 minutes.  

What adds to the experience when you stay at Bahari are all the small things.  Finding a washing line in the shower for your wet bikini. The hooks outside your door for the wet beach towels.  The block out curtains, the powerful shower, the bird feeder in the garden...

I may be generous in giving this guest house an excellent rating considering the fact that the beach house has no sea views but the hosts deserve it.  I will not hesitate to stay at Bahari Beach House again in the future.

Comfort and quality

Accommodation and facilities were exactly as described on booking site, I will say even better than described. Very close to the sea. Everything that you need and more were provided. We had a lovely stay.

Excellent self-catering guest house. Beautiful gardens and pool. Walking distance to sanctuary beach. All amenities provided in the room. Braai facility also available. We have a lovely and relaxing stay.

Superb location for walking Robberg beach, quiet and safe neighbourhood.
Very well equipped room (we stayed in the King room (can convert to 2 twins)) - kettle, small stove plate, microwave; gas powered so not affected by load shedding schedules.
Lovely to have some supplies provided for our stay - breads, milk, jam and orange juice in the fridge.
Pool loungers a dream to relax on, and lots of sitting areas around the communal outdoor area, serenaded by birds in the beautiful garden each morning.

Quiet, peaceful stay, steps from the beach

Perfect stopover with Robberg Beach a short walk away. We were welcomed by the lilt of a strong Scottish accent by Kate with Brian, her husband close behind.

Our room had everything you would need for a self catering stop, everything neat, clean & tidy. The outside dining tables ensured both your privacy and relaxation. The deck area, loungers and pool, so peaceful.

A short drive to a series of great restaurants and secure access when you returned!

Delightful, well worth the visit.

A private haven!!

A great place to enjoy a few days at Plettenburg Bay; away from the hustle and bustle of the centre and only 5 minutes walk to a near deserted Sanctuary Beach.  Works well for those of you travellers who are weary of hotel/B&B breakfasts and dinners and actually want to eat lighter by preparing your own. The 3 units are well set-up, decently equipped and you have the luxury of daily maid service to keep the place clean. The Beach House has a secluded garden with a small plunge pool and loungers to relax in peace and quiet after a morning at the beach, or hiking Robberg Reserve (well worth it).

Comfortable self-catering close to the beach

Fully equipped self catering accomodation, if you need a sandwichmaker, bottle opener or whatever, you find it, water dispenser to fill your own bottles available, amazing garden with small pool, luxury sunbeds and parasols, owners treat you like family members, great beach only a few steps away.

Great stay

When we arrived, we felt very comfortable, the hosts were very friendly, the outdoor area with pool is a real oasis in the green, everything is lovingly designed. There are also not many rooms so that you can really enjoy your peace. Our outdoor bathroom was very clean, because of our anniversary we even got a little attention. The beach is easily accessible on foot, beach screens and chairs are also available at the accommodation. The downtown area with restaurants and shopping is also within minutes by car. We felt very comfortable, thank you very much for the nice stay.

What a beautiful oasis

Very clean and lovingly decorated apartments, rented by a very friendly couple with knowledge of the German language. On request, a very delicious and rich breakfast is also served. We spent 9 days there and felt very comfortable doing so.

Highly recommended accommodation in Plettenberg

I only spent one night at Bahari Beach House, but Kate made sure it was a super comfortable stay. She was very helpful with planning my day at Plettenberg Bay. And having electric blankets on the bed made the stay extra special!
