On the website it looked fabulous.  But the moment we drove up to the property we knew we were in for a rude surprise.  The rooms are located at the back of a fairly middle class looking house run by a bunch of young teenagers.  It is next to a backpakers and our impression was that it was probably in the same type of class off accommodation despite its wonderful pictures on the website.  Our room was located at the back of the drive way (wont call it the parking area -  that’s too ambitious.  Upon entering the small room we immediately noticed that the mattress looked as if something was wrong.  It was lumpy and had odd angels.  Upon testing it by lying on it, it was if you were lying on a road full of potholes.  We called Chris the young guy who checked us in.  He arranged for the mattress to be replaced with another.  The replacement mattress was honestly the hardest mattress I have ever slept on.  It was made only of sponge (no springs) and felt like a slab of cement.  We were already tired and as we had to drive far the next day and was therefore forced to stay the night as we could not find any other accommodation at such a short  notice in the evening.   Later a lady popped in.  I assume she was the owner and the mother of the teenagers running the place.  She offered us a refund for the remainder of our stay, but the way it was done was not pleasant at all.  And as a bonus we discovered a pack on opened condoms in the mouldy smelling bathroom.  Do not do this to yourself.  This spoilt our whole holiday.

DO NOT STAY HERE

As part of a Garden Route trip, we also spent 3 days staying at this property. The owner greeted us more than friendly, it was almost a coming home experience. She introduced us to the local conditions and gave us valuable tips for our stay. She runs this guest house with her two children, who were the same kind to the day. The rooms are extremely clean, the bathrooms have German standards, there are no criticisms from our point of view. Unfortunately, and this is the only restriction the operator has on a life partner who wants to get close, not even two standard forms of treatment to his portfolio but can count on it. In three days and countless meetings, he has not found a way to get rid of his problems without being able to get rid of the simple and uncomfortable problems he had to face with his car, and even with a simple, uncomfortable and unresponsive attitude towards the car.

Almost perfect.

20 m2 apartment with a large bathroom. Family home and full of good little tips (shark reduction). Central location. Quiet and wifi ok. A good backup plan if the neighboring backpacker is full.

Clean and good

The room we slept in was spacious, clean, and beautiful. It was a pity we couldn't have breakfast! The Wi-Fi was not working.

Stand up two steps from the main road

Great place. Braai area, the owner is very helpful and friendly.  Well located, very close to the restaurants and the beach. Unfortunately the breakfast is not included on the price, you can buy it extra.  The room is spacious and clean.

After a wonderful ten day road trip to eastern cape this was going to be the last leg before heading home to Cape Town. We booked two nights at this guesthouse. 
What a disaster the owner of this guesthouse was the most unpleasant person I have met in my life. She lives on the property and is always in your face. Uncompromising when requesting that she fix a broken fan. Sending the lady that cleans the room to communicate with us. 
It was when she removed our washing without asking us that was the last straw. We demanded our money back. It was then she changed tack and became over friendly with us. We stayed on but will never go back to this dump. You basically living in someone's yard.

Stay In Plettenberg

Stayed over in Plett for a night,at Emitem. Booked accomodation an hour in advance,very quick response from owner. We were greeted on arrival by a warm,friendly and flexible host. Very informative on things to do along the garden route. Thanks again Cheryl :-) 

Great service 

This Guest House is of very poor quality , my family an d I were shocked on arrival at this guest house which we had paid for 6 months in advance. we walked in and we walked out , we had to source alternative accommodation that was adequate and the owner refuses to compensate me and I have been fair in requesting at half of what was paid.
