The stay at Belvedere Cottage was very cozy,peaceful and tranquil. The cottage is well equipped with all the necessary kitchen utensils needed to make your stay comfortable. The cleaning staff is also very friendly and the quality of service was excellent.   

Review

Roy met us at the property and sat down with us to tell us about the area and things to do. His restaurant recommendations were good, a 10 minute taxi ride to the pier and beach area, which Roy arranged for us. A few restauarnts within walking distance including a nice cafe for breakfast, but not recommended to walk far!

Happy Stay

Beautiful 2bedroom cottage close to vibey restaurants situated in central PE. Cottage well maintained with lovely friendly staff in attendance. Will definte stay here on next visit and would definitely recommend to all visitors.  The inside parking was a bit of a challenge so hire smallish car. 

Beautiful quaint cottage

This has been one of my favourite places to stay on my long trip in South Africa. And most of the credit goes to the very host 'Roy". What an amazing being. He has made his place so nice and welcoming with just everything one needs to feel the luxury at home. On top all the good things that his property has to offer, when you meet Roy in person, he gives you the best recommendations to explore around and experience his country. His recommendations has made my trip an unforgettable one. Thank You Roy :)

Excellent

Our stay in P.E. was very short because the train from Bloemfontein was late by 6 hours. So we did not have the possibility to visit the town. We found the property with some difficulties, but the service was excellent, the staff very kind, the rooms are large, you have even a small garden and kitchen (we did not use it, because of the short stay). Unlike other hotels the light is perfect and you can even read some book,

Short visit to P.E.

Very welcome. Very clear explanations. Very good information. Very good accommodation for this accommodation. Flawless accommodation, perfect bed. 2 functional, clean and pleasant bathrooms (with small corners to store our toilet belongings). Friendly, warm and full of good advice to optimize our stay. I recommend this accommodation. A little narrow garage for the car, but it's not inconvenient. A few manoeuvres and it's possible to get the vehicle inside.

Resting, comfortable and functional.

We arrived as strangers, and we left as friends. We could not warn our host of our arrival, but a neighbor was kind enough to warn him. The car was parked behind a secure grid. We had a very beautifully decorated room, a living room and a kitchen. Our host recommended (and took us to) a restaurant with a very pleasant atmosphere and where we enjoyed ourselves in a special way. Port Elizabeth is a bit away from the country's tourist roads, but this experience has been great! We recommend without reservation! In addition, the price ratio is excellent.

That was a great experience.

We spent our first night in South Africa at the Belvedere Cottage - a perfect start! Roy, our host, welcomed us warmly and gave us great tips for our stay and the next trip. Thank you very much again :) The accommodation is very clean, well-equipped and quietly located. In a spacious garden you can sit comfortably and enjoy a glass or other of wine. Very close by is Stanley Street with many bars and cafes. We had breakfast at Vovo Telo - highly recommended!

Comfortable accommodation

It's better to warn 30 minutes before he arrives because the owner lives five minutes by car from the place of this BnB. Oops, we forgot and waited a little while at the door of this highly protected house, part of which is reserved for us confidently. Our host gave us all the instructions to open and close the doors safely and pointed out the lighted streets at night to go to the restaurant to eat dinner. He gave us the keys and left asking us tomorrow, not to forget to leave the keys. The car is safe in the bathroom, we have a nice kitchen and a nice little room with a good bed. There is wifi and television. The small size of the room is necessary for the restaurant but it is not too far from the hotel. This is a very good address and we want to have a good quality garage and a good quality of the room.
