Booked for my daughter and her family. 
Terrible. Arrived at 8pm on Thursday evening 14th April, day before Good Friday.  
Reception is a funeral parlour. Seriously. 
No food, room wasn't anything like website, cold and bare.   
Behind room was the conference room with some function going on. Incredibly loud, noisy and basically horrible throughout night and into the next day. 
Had to drive round Pretoria trying to find food as they hadn't eaten and had two little children with them. 
They didn't leave as it was too much hassle to repack bags and try find something else for Easter weekend. 
Never again and warnings to everyone out there bot to book this hotel.

Delectus Manor for a small family

Planned a surprise spa treatment for my friend, The lunch was delicious and the host was so welcoming perfectly set-up table. The spa (pamperhauz)  was a disaster ,the massage therapists didn't know what they were doing, talking throughout our treatments and it didn't last 2 and half hours as estimated lasted an hour or so. At reception for the spa they didn't know what treatments we were booked for and we waited 30mins for the therapists to finish their lunch yet we made an appointment for 11am. I was in watsapp communication with the spa all the time and they ensured everything is in order ... spa is joke but the accomodation and property is beautiful .

Birthday Spa Surprise

We held our small family funeral at Delectus Manor in peak season, December 2017. Frikkie, the owner was so welcoming helpful and provided hospitality service, Everything was done beyond expectations and you could see that their service was purely from the heart. The venue itself was extremely clean, beautiful surrounds and garden and lovely hall where we held the service. I cannot fault them in anyway. Thank you for helping our family give ,y mother a beautiful send off worth remembering!

Amazing service from the heart

It is a beautiful guest house and was very close to the wedding destination we were going to .
We did not like the small towels and there was no hard soap in the bathrooms just shower jell .
The breakfast was very nice and in a lovely setting .
Some of the rooms are being refurbished but no one would notice if the owner had not told us as they were very nice .

Overnight stay

me and my wife spent one night here on the 9th of November, to surprise me my wife pre ordered a bottle of sparkling wine, to be put in our room  before 3h.
as we entered the guest house we were blown a away by the beauty, be this quickly ended when we were greeted without any enthusiasm. The receptionist asked us to complete the check in form and sais she forgot about the champagne can she bring it our for us (surprised spoiled), the bottle was warm but we received a ice bucket and 2 glasses, which were instructed to carry ourselves to our room, al we new was that we were going to stay in room 7, without any directions tot he room, we now had to find the room and carry our own surprise bubbly, after reaching the room we quickly discovered the aircon is not working, instead of moving us to another room we received a fan, after 30 minutes a quick knock on the door and it opened, we know heard we were given the wrong bottle of bubbly, and requested us to return it or pay a higher price...wow! sad that service can give you a negative conclusion on such a beautiful place.

We ran into this place by accident when we got lost while driving through Pretoria,  It was recommended by the manager of a restaurant nearby and by the manager of another guesthouse nearby that was full.

We loved this place, it is very elegant and relaxing.  The hosts are very friendly and helpful.  The breakfast was very nice.  The mattresses and pillows were excellent.  Large room very tastefully decorated.  Coffee maker and refrigerator in the room.  Beautiful grounds and nice swimming pool. 

Would recommend this place to any traveller.
