Have not stayed here since before Covid. The place is still welcoming friendly. Rooms are cosy. Safe car parking.
Feel safe. Great area to walk around. Restaurant and mall not far.

The place is not really bad but it was not good to share the place with somebody that I did not know more espacial to the situation that we are in now because the place did not even provided me with sanitizers to limit the possibility of covid 19. Car parking also need to improve. No proper door that separate the toilet and the kitchen which is not hygenic when other person is using the toilet.

My one day stay in Pretoria

No fuss at Pretoria Backpackers.  Just a relaxed stay with a friendly host. I was glad that I did not had a partner with me in the room as the toilet is just a meter or two from the bed with barely being sheltered. The barking dogs (but very friendly) might be a problem for some travelers.

Relaxed atmosphere close to Loftus Park

I stayed at the premises from the 19 to the 29 June 2019 with 5 of my work colleagues. This was their first time at this premises and this was my second time. As previously in 2014 I found the premises , staff and the service as follows: Professional service, clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

The service and food were great, a very nice place to stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The setting is nicely in the middle of everything and you can easily get to shops and the place is beautiful. We had a great stay and we will definitely use this guesthouse again.

The rooms are clean and very comfortable, the meals delicious, the hospitality was great, the location was convenient, all at a reasonable cost. We were cared for like we were family. I enjoyed the place so much that I didn't want to leave.

i was traveling to pretoria from Postmasburg to write exams. i liked the friendly staff, quiet place without noise. i liked the breakfast and the easy access to university of pretoria and surrounding areas

A friend recommended the Pretoria Backpackers as decent and affordable accommodation but when we got there, we hit two or three (or even more) birds with one stone. The place is not only affordable to many, but quiet and secure with friendly staff under the great leadership of Marinda and Francois who made sure that we were comfortable all the time and also managed all our local trips. 
Another plus is the location which is not far away from either the CBD or the Bus Rank as well as many other businesses. A shopping Mall is a few minutes` walk away for essentials and all this gives a guarantee of being home away from home. I will be back soon and for anyone travelling to Pretoria or stranded in Pretoria, look no further.
