There were 7 of us, 5 of whom had stayed at Saxe-Coburg Lodge at least once before. It was as charming as ever, and we were made to feel very welcome by Carmen, and by Regina and Dick. The place is an amazing oasis, with a delightful garden with a fountain and a pool. It really deserves a stay of several nights, because there are more attractions for visitors locally than ever before. Break fast was wonderful - all together on the verandah.
It's all pretty good. Dick's opinions are very 'far right' and he may offend some people.

A delightful oasis in Prince Albert

Another lovely stay at this beautiful guesthouse….our 15th year of visiting!  It’s just perfect in every way.  The rooms in the garden are quiet and peaceful and have all you need for a relaxing stay.  Lots of restaurants within walking distance and plenty to do in Prince Albert for a week.
Breakfasts served on the veranda are excellent and Dick, Regina and Carmen are such lovely hosts ….thank you for your hospitality and friendship and look forward to seeing you next February.

In the beautiful and peaceful Garden of Saxe Coburg Lodge you find the perfekt Place to recover . Birds to watch and a pool to cool down.
We liked the chats with Carmen, our host, very much. 
Hopefully one day, we will return.

An absolute gem in the Great Karoo Very comfortable and suberb rooms We loved the beautiful garden The hostess was very friendly and we had a lovely stay Excellent location in the Swartberge and well worth a visit

Stay at Saxe-Coburh Lodge

What a lovely place to stay. Carmen and Cleo (the dog!), were fantastic hosts at their charming hotel. Set in the interesting village of Prince Albert. 
The accommodation was immaculate and comfortable, and even with welcome Sherry!

Our favourite place

The lodge is a lovely oasis managed by friendly and helpful people.  We were a couple and a single and had 2 spacious, tastefully appointed rooms. I loved the personal touches in our rooms.  We had private verandahs, perfect for early morning coffee on a tranquil garden. The sparkling pool was refreshing on a hot afternoon. There was secure parking on site and on the street. The place is centrally located opposite the hotel and next to several restaurants.  It is a perfect spot for exploring Prince Albert's many attractions.  Highly recommended!

Prince Albert Oasis 

What a fantastic, relaxing weekend in the most serene environment. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. Carmen was a perfect host and responded within minutes to any request. We will be back!!!

I would highly recommend Saxe Coburg Lodge to any visitors to Prince Albert. It's a wonderful little piece of paradise, with well kept rooms and a gorgeous garden! It's also well situated on the main road, with the Gin Bar being conveniently across the road. Carmen and her team are very welcoming and friendly, taking good care of you during  your stay. Can't wait to visit again!

Saxe-Coburg Paradise

If we were to visit Prince Albert again we would definitely stay at Saxe-Coberg Lodge which is very centrally situated on the main road. The room we had was delightfully furnished with everything we needed., and all the rooms had verandahs overlooking the garden. It's very deceiving from the front as the property extends far to the back. Unfortunately we opted not to have the breakfast as we planned an early start, so we can't comment on that, but we had a good night's sleep, with good linen and an electric blanket for the chilly night. Carmen recommended the Rude Chef for dinner which was a few doors down which we also enjoyed. All in all a very nice stay and we were able to park on the property.
