We spent one night at Moonstruck. We wished we had booked for a longer period.
The accomodation is beautiful with spaceous  rooms and excellent ammenities. A scrumptuous breakfast  and good sevice.
Walking distance to the beach (you can see it from your room).
Walking distance from restaurants and shops in the tiny town.
We definitely come back when we get a chance.

We so enjoyed our first stay at this excellent guesthouse overlooking Pringle Bay.  
We thought Moonstruck was delightful, very comfortable and furnished with so many thoughtful touches.  Excellent breakfasts too with a fantastic view from the dining tables!  
Karen and her staff were so welcoming.  Nothing was too much trouble  Karen had so many recommendations of things to do and places to visit .  
We have already booked to return in 2021

We're Returning!

This was our fifth visit to Moonstruck over the last ten years, and again, everything remains at the height of peak performance. Room one remains our favourite with a large en-suite and oval bath, direct access to a private terrace with sunny views to the sea and beach, and a few paces to the pool and path which leads down to the beach. Our daughter stayed with us on this trip and had one of the first floor rooms where the views are even more spectacular with a particularly large terrace, daybed, huge room and freestanding bath.Wonderful breakfast.

The staff are just lovely, polite and helpful. Karen remains the font of knowledge, both local and if you are planning a trip to the Krüger.

After our visit last year, my review was headed ‘ Excellence comes as standard ‘. Well, I am delighted to report that excellence continues to come as standard.

They say never go back. They’re wrong !

Moonstruck is a wonderful place to stay and the setting is beautiful, peaceful and idyllic. 
The beach ( a five minute walk away down a winding path ) is white soft sand, quiet and unspoilt. Ideal for walks, relaxing and feeling at one with nature. 
The accommodation is spotlessly clean, luxurious and modern. Good sized bedrooms and lovely bathrooms. 
Breakfast is exceptionally good. The best poached eggs ever - and there is a huge choice. 
The owner is so lovely and really helpful at advising on places to go for supper, good walks and places to visit. 
There is an easy going ambiance - help yourself to a chilled beer or a glass of wine and just jot it down in the book. 
We have now visited twice and there is plenty to do for two or three days. We have been to three of the local restaurants (there are more to try next time) and all served fabulous food and were exceptional value. 
I will definitely visit again - and would highly recommend. 
Can’t wait to go back :-)

We come back year after year to Moonstruck for Karen's warm welcome, the comfort of her beautiful and spotless house, the superb breakfasts and attention to every detail. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Karen and her staff - we absolutely love staying there and have already booked for next year. Highly recommended!

Magical Moonstruck

Moonstruck is a true Pringle Bay gem! Well positioned, beautifully furnished and wonderfully welcoming, this gorgeous guesthouse offers travelers a comfortable and luxurious base from which to explore all the Overberg has to offer. 

Owner, Karen Usmar-Blake and her lovely staff, have really gone above and beyond to ensure our stay has been a totally seamless and utterly relaxing long weekend - far away from the hustle and bustle of city-folk getting back to the grind after the Christmas break. In fact, this stunning little seaside town is perfectly quiet and serene at this time of year, which makes me think it’s the best possible time to book! Karen’s restaurant recommendations have been absolutely brilliant and we’ve had one or two truly unforgettable meals here. Can highly recommend: Hook, Line and Sinker, which is just three streets away. 

Though we’ve had blustery weather all weekend, we’ve still managed to get out and about for some super walks and we’ve had a wander down sandy beach paths, to tranquil white beaches and humming rock pools. The sunshowers have also gifted us the most beautiful rainbow views imaginable from our balcony. Can highly recommend this lovely place!

Moonstruck magic!

This was our 4th visit to Moonstruck and again loved it very much. The rooms are huge and beautifully decorated and have a lovely view over Pringle Bay. Breakfasts are delicious and taken in the cosy dining room/lounge. The beach is a 2 minute walk away from the guesthouse and restaurants are at walking distance. Karen, Aggi and the whole team put a lot of effort in making one's stay a memorable one. Thanks for another wonderful stay!

Another lovely stay

Our 4th visit to Karen’s beautiful home and twice in one visit! That’s how good this place is! We cannot speak highly enough of “Moonstruck”, Karen, Aggy and all the team for making each visit so welcoming. The house and rooms are beautifully and stylishly decorated with Karen’s interior flair and eye for detail throughout. Views from all the bedroom terraces and living area are stunning, the breakfasts perfectly prepared and presented with a delicious choice, the comfiest of beds and pillows, and the expert knowledge of the area, restaurants and wineries from Karen - all make for the perfect place to relax and unwind. We spent an amazing New Year here with our family - one we will never forget. 
To Karen and all the team - you’ve nailed it yet again. We will be back! Thank you!
