The rooms were well maintained and clean.  the dining room is comfortable and there is a good selection for breakfast.  The timing for breakfast is flexible to suit the individual needs.
I highly recommend this guest house.

For business travel to Richards Bay this Guest house is well placed, and  including a healthy breakfast

If I could I would give it zero as it is I have never rated anywhere 1. The website misled us as there is no view of the garden or pool - only a 12 foot wide yard surrounded by a brick wall. It compares so badly with the accommodation we had before and after. The rooms are inevitably gloomy, the self catering facility inadequate and bedroom very tight. The only saving grace was the weather which meant that we could eat outside and use the braai, albeit without braai tools. 
We have stayed in over 50 guest houses in South Africa and this regrettably is the worst.
The b&b accommodation may be ok.

Crayfish Creek Guesthouse is the BEST home away from home in Richards Bay. The staff are welcoming and friendly - and visible!!!! 
Little things - the WiFi works like a bomb, the towels are soft and white, and the bed linen too.There's even a small pair of scissors included in the tea/coffee basket so that you don't have to tear the sachets open, spilling everywhere! Breakfast is beautifully presented - and my request to have it a half hour earlier (tight schedule!) was met with a smile. Nothing seems like too much trouble. So very grateful for the hospitality and the peacefulness in a busy world. Would love to go back just to chill!

Business Stay - wish it was leisure!

We spent one night at this Guest House. The host couple were genuinely warm and welcoming and took such good care of us. The room was nice and clean and beakfast was excellent! Not fancy in any way, just well cooked and served in a pleasant and wellcoming atmosphere. The guest house in it selfe is nice, but it was the host family that made our stay perfect. Thank you!

Best hosts in South Africa

We (adult and 2 children) stayed here for 4 nights. The hosts were very helpful and gave us suggestions of places to eat and things to do in the area. 
The room was cleaned every day to a high standard. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was superb. 
I would highly recommend this place to anyone, thank you Madeleine and JJ for making our stay extremely comfortable. 

Very relaxing, great hosts!

The family makes the atmosphere great, there are few rooms that make the service unique. Excellent breakfast, fantastic flat spacious and complete. The rooms have coffee as a courtesy. You will not regret it.

Pleasant and familiar

We visited the crayfish creek for just one day.... the location is excellent with 3 to 4 min drive to the beaches, waterfront and lots of eateries. The owners are very friendly and manage the place themselves. The place is homely and clean. I would surely visit again and recommend it to anyone who is visiting. 

Great location friendly owners 

The family takes care of the small hotel. The quality of the room is above average. Everything is very clean and organized. The owner is concerned about the well-being of the guests, arrival time, etc. I stayed only one night, but I would definitely return there.

Careful and tidy

Family business, the hosts are kind and attentive, the house is organized, the room is well equipped and decorated with good taste, clean and spacious bathroom.

Pleasant

Perfect place to rest! And the most important! Very helpful and friendly service. And very honest - we had problem with booking payment. Owner made us feel like we are at home. I would totally recommend this to all my friends travelling to RSA. Thanks!
