Absolutely incredible place! Far exceeded my expectations..
My family and friends loved our weekend get away as well as the dogs!

We had the best time ever!!!!! More than once someone mentioned the fact that there is absolutely everything you can think of in the house.

We were received with open arms and Dave and Claude assisted us with all the necessary.

It was a very pleasant experience. Perfect weekend away indeed.

Best weekend Ever

Fantastic fulfilled stay at Drecaso Farm.  The cottages where clean, beds super comfortable and the hot tub to die for. We had little fairies who cleaned behind us, we never saw a soul.  The weather was just perfect and the walking/biking trails well maintained.  Thank you all for an amazing experience! 

Fun filled experience 

What a great place to host a family get together or celebration.... 4 x 2 comfotable bedroom cottages on stilts (both bedrooms with own bathrooms) and a wonderful Clubhouse with everything your heart desires in the kitchen.  The pool and hot tub were a great feature and we loved the pizza oven and braai area.  A perfect place to walk and mountain bike and fabulous restaurants and wineries to visit on your doorstep.  The hosts were super kind and efficient.... 5 stars all the way!! *****

A hidden Gem

Wow! that's the first word that comes to mind once you have entered the farm.
This place is perfect for a breakaway from the City life, awesome place to spend quality time with quality people! We were welcomed by Hosts Claude and Dave, Hospitality is really outstanding and they are such wonderful people.

Its usually the service that brings one back to a place and that is what stood out for us at Drecaso, every morning you felt as if you were never there as the place was always spotless even though we would tell each other that we would wake up early to clean up, lol the hosts would wake up even earlier to ensure that they do it for you!!! so wow that's outstanding.

The rooms were out of this world, each Chalet has its own theme and style, the bathrooms are beautiful and the beds sleep wonderful.

Sometimes the pictures online are not as what they seem when you get to a place, but guess what? the place is way better than the pictures you see online. :) - so don't hesitate, and book the place you will not be sorry.

There is much to do, plenty of games to share with the whole family, the clubhouse provides you with the opportunity to share memories with friends and family.

The clubhouse is fully stocked up with utensils, crockey and cutlery, there is really no shortage of anything!, coming on a trip like this you would have a list of things to bring with, at Drecaso, come as you are!!!!

trust me what you thought you forgot they already have it, the hiking trails are stunning and the dam is perfect for fishing or even just taking a nice boat ride.

I think the best part of our stay was the Sunday when we had to leave, usually places like this you would need to check out at 10h00, which is really such a rush as you don't really get enough enjoyment on your last day, at Drecaso you do not need to rush at all, we checked out at 2pm and were still not chased away or even had a feeling that we were overstaying our welcome, we could still have breakfast, pack up and still have a lovely Sunday lunch as a family.

To all the members of Drecaso, you guys really out did yourself with this place, really outstanding and 5 star quality!!!!

Tranquility at its Best!!!!

If you want to relax this is the place for you. Mountain biking ,hiking and star gazing is at its best here. So many wine estates to visit "just down the road". Conveniently situated close to Cape Town for easy weekend getaways with friends and family.

Peaceful, beautiful and relaxing

What a find. Was a little hard to find actually as the sign on the main road could be a bit bigger but once we were there it was awesome. Cabins were clean and beautifully decorated. Views were stunning and the club house was a great concept. We met other families and the kids loved meeting new friends. Would be an ideal place to go as a group. Quiet restful and refreshing.

Awesome family getaway

If it's peace and quiet you're after - this is definitely the place to be. With only the chirp of the bright little birds to stir the air, the serenity of Drecaso is absolutely soul comforting. The cabin was spacious and very comfortable. Bedding and bathroom towels were supplied in abundance, clean and luxurious. We only booked two cabins and had to share the clubhouse with other guests but it was never an inconvenience. The clubhouse was very well equipped with every conceivable utensil and even some condiments and detergents required to make our stay beyond comfortable -from a dishwasher, washing machine, ample fridge, deep freezers and even a bar to store extra drinks. The pool table, games room, indoor and outdoor fireplaces/braai areas and pizza oven proved to more than ample space for everyone to have an enjoyable experience of not getting in each other's way. It's a great place for huge families to book out all four cabins but we had no problems sharing with the lovely people we met. Drecaso is a great getaway not too far from Cpt and I would most definitely book again for a home away from home holiday.

A gem nestled in a little piece of heaven

We booked two units at drecaso.They.were extremely comfortable, uniquely decorated and the clubhouse was there for use as well, which was just so convene for our full stay there. They say a picture tells a thousand words but  the pictures of this place cannot justify the true beauty of the place and surrounds. From the booking processes to the hospitality and just being around at drecaso will bring not only a beautiful getaway but the peace and tranquillity one always looks for. Every corner and everywhere you look you will find a conversation piece and realise that the owners have gone through a great thought process to make everything extremely comfortable and convene to stay there. I could possibly go on and on about the experiences we had there as a family and the wonderful people we met there but I'm sure Angelique,your welcoming host,  who went far and beyond to assist us with our pre booking, and awesome visit there will be just as helpful and friendly to anyone staying there. I suppose every family will have their own unique experience there. We don't generally visit a place twice, but will definitely spend again some time with my family and friends there. 


 A hidden gem

I recently stayed at Drecaso with a group of friends which was perfect for a group or families with kids! There are 4 cottages on stilts in total with a central cabin where all the action happens. A large open space which is fully fitted out with everything you need: Good sized open plan kitchen with all the mod cons. Large dinning room table, two little lounge areas for cozying up near the fire, and relaxing. A built in bar for the bar flies and separate adjacent games room with a pool table. 

The central area opens up to a large decking area with amazing views of the rolling hills and completely rural surrounding countryside, and a pool for those long hot summer days! 

What more could you want? Oh there is a pizza oven on the outside deck :-) 

All cabins were clean and tidy with good beds and linen. All rooms have air-con/heating. Management were very helpful and friendly and a pleasure to deal with. 

Surrounding area is full of wine farms, hikes and nature so no shortage of things to do. There is also a boat cruise on the river you can do nearby when you are done with wine tasting and relaxing.
