I would not have written a review, but after receiving a whatsapp message from Rone today calling me a dishonest Afrikaans human, I decided to share my experience.  I booked through bookings.com more than a month ago for my son's cricket tour.  My check-in date was the 3rd of July.  On the 2nd I called, without answer or a call back.  I called early on the 3rd to request a check-in by 12.  I was told that Bookings.com made a mistake with my booking, but that they could assist with 2 single rooms.  Single mother travelling with a 12year old.  Sonja could not understand why I did not want to take that offer as we would be seperated, "only by a wall".  I told them to cancel my booking and to get my money ready as I was leaving for Rustenburg.  I managed to get accommodation at another guest house.  Within the next 2 hours after the first call, I received multiple calls from them.  The 2nd excuse came that guests extended their stay and therefor, my booking was changed.  The last excuse was that they forgot to plot my booking in. The last call was to a request to do an EFT instead of me collecting the money paid.  Wish I agreed upon.  Money was paid immediately.  Just to receive 3 missed calls on Friday afternoon. I then looked at the whatsapp messages where a cancellation message from Bookings.com was posted for the amount of R 1350.00, followed by the dishonest Afrikaans person and at least I scored R 1,350.00.  I phoned and Rone picked up.  When I questioned her about the message, she kept on saying she did the refund.  So, why call me a dishonest Afrikaans person that scored money.  The money refunded was a total of R 2,700.00 which was paid for the 3 night stay.  Luckily before I made the call, I downloaded the whatsapp message.  Within seconds she deleted the message of whatsapp.  Being in the hospitality industry myself, I do understand that mistakes happens - but then as an owner of  the property you do not call your customers names.  I went onto bookings.com, to receive the message "free cancellation".  So now the question is - who is really the "dishonest Afrikaans human?"

Stay Away

The owner Sonya and her daughter were the worst hostesses of all times.
They made our stay feel like we are beggars living on the street. 
I'm to start a petition that their place is closed with immediate effect.
