We were in town for the Kosmos 3 in 1 race. This establishment is a guest house within a residential estate. What I love about it is the feeling of being out in the country, it has pretty views, cattle grazing and abundant bird life. The sound of the insects at night and a rooster crowing in the morning is awesome! The grounds are beautifully kept and complex is very secure. 
We stayed in the deluxe loft suite. Spacious, except for the bathroom which is tiny. (personal opinion - deluxe to me is at least a bathtub and at minimum a queen size bed, this only had a double). 
Unfortunately the bed was extremely uncomfortable, the mattress needed to be replaced, u could feel the springs. 
Fixtures and furnishing is dated, shabby in places and tacky (plastic flowers🙈)
The balcony was full of bird crap, housekeeping only cleaned inside the unit, not the balcony, which is a pity as this is the best part. 
Small irritation of only one bath towel for two people, soap dispensers for the basin and shower were empty. 
On arrival we were given 2 packets of ‘condiments’ at reception. Each having one coffee and one tea bag (rooibos), sugar, sweetener and cremora. This was it for 2 nights. 
A general comment, this accommodation like many in Secunda is overpriced for what u are getting compared to Johannesburg. 
I would stay again if I had no other option, but do not recommend. 

Weekend

The rooms are actually part of a small village. The grounds are very well kept and the rooms are great, being quite large. There is a separate lounge/kitchen/ work area with a flat screen TV. Each room also has an outside balcony or enclosed seating area

Nice place to stay

I Travel a lot and it was so nice to meet people who care about what they do. Outstanding service. My room was a studio very clean and very convenient with free wifi. Breakfast was great too. Thank you for making my week end in a good way. Definitely will come again.

Just needed a bed which was what Riverside offered. Bed was fine, shower was a bit old but worked fine and the staff was friendly. I wouldn't specifically recommended it but Secunda isn't really a place to stay anyway so if you just need a bed this place is fine.
