We didn't stay here but did have dinner. And what a magnificent dinner it was! Vegan fare and so delicious. If I could eat food prepared like that every day, I'd def be a vegan. Jane and Howard were lovely hosts. We were told that the property is self sustaining and, for the most, part completely off the grid.

Best vegan food!

I came To Peace of Eden to regroup .. to find the ground beneath my feet again. It has been the most perfect place for me to re-connect. Jen is the most wonderful hostess... and between her and Jim  all my needs were met.. I was in proper retreat mode  and firewood was brought... Jen, even kindly brought food from the Village for me... I go home tomorrow.... feeling renewed... and excited about engaging with life again. The birds, monkeys and beauty of Nature here are so restoring . Thank you Jen, Howard and Jim .. for making this retreat so special .  I am looking  forward to a possible follow on in a month or so.

Finding Peace Again

This is truly home away from home if your home is paradise. Such incredible hosts and hostesses, Jen and Howard have been in the business of hospitality for long enough to know what comfort means. 
Jen, accompanied by her daughter at times, creates delicious vegan food. They are also fabulous bakers so all our party treats were beautifully presented. 
I’ll certainly return when in SA again.

The best!

How lovely!! This will probably be the highlight of our trip. We had such an amazingly great time. When we got there we set up camp, with a view of the forest. We had a table set for dinner with some flowers and candles. And the dinner was SUPERB! I really enjoyed it. The bathrooms are soooo nice, you really feel like you're out and about in nature. I truly enjoyed waking up to a beautiful sunrise. Our breakfast was just as lovely with fresh mint water and tea. Its more than its money worth for sure! Thank you so much to Jim and Jess for making us feel right at home and keeping those monkeys away while we were eating! It was truly an amazing experience. Will definitely do it again!

Camping in the forest!!

We had a weekend stay in the forest tents and loved every moment.  The tents are situated in the forest and quite  comfortable.  You are surrounded by nature, peace and tranquility. We loved the outdoor showers and found the forest loo's interesting. Peace of Eden is definitely worth a visit should you wish to unwind and unplug from life.

Stayed here while visiting South Africa. Beautiful, peaceful piece of heaven with fantastic meals.
Loved the monkeys watching meals being prepared in the kitchen. Friendly staff, walks through the woods and swimming in the lake.

Wonderful!

I have stayed at peace of eden many times over the years. I have stopped for a night when needing to pass through and I have stayed for days to totally relax. I have enjoyed accommodation for two and then have also stayed with my siblings and small baby. Every time I have to leave I just wish I could stay longer... the surroundings are pristine, the hosts are warm and accommodating and the vegan food is delicious. I will return over and over again.

Rested and happy

My girlfriend and I love the place, Jen and Howard, the owners, are such accommodating hosts and have the generous manner of making you feel a part of the family. It's an extraordinary venue, if you enjoy the calm of the forests edge and extravagant bird life, an occasional monkey, visiting cat or two then this place is for you. It's a vegan lodge, which suits us both perfectly, I'm a recent convert and Jens cooking really set the bar high in terms of my expectations - I'm only sorry I wasn't stuck there for the duration of the lock down.

Lovely people, wonderful place

Peace of Eden is one my favourite places to rest, recover and re-boot. The amazing environment and first- class hospitality from Jess , Jen and Howard , forces me to visit Peace of Eden every year . I highly recommend everyone stop by, to connect with nature and yourself and this marvelous place !

Healing environment

We returned once again to Peace of Eden for a full week this January. Every time we visit it feels like we are coming home. The pristine nature, fresh air and tranquil environment melts away all that city stress! Jenny, Jess and Howard are the warmest hosts and the incredible (all-vegan!) gastronomic creations they cook up in the forest kitchen are out of this world! This is an ideal spot for families with small children - we visited with our 1-year-old who took her memorable first steps on the grassy lawns of Peace of Eden’s glorious gardens.  We can’t wait to be back!!
